My heart was pounding and my palms were sweating making it harder to get a good grip on the handle of my iron sword. I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it following me earlier! I heard my dog, Damon, snarl and I knew it was close. I took a deep breath and jumped around the corner to be greeted by a flash of green and the sound of hissing. I quickly swung my sword and watched its head come clean off and then started to collect the much needed experience it left me. I looked at Damon who was still chewing one of the creepers legs, "Be careful," I said," that's still explosive." He tilted his head as if still pondering about what I had said when a arrow flew out of no where and struck the wall that was right beside my head. "Come on!" I yelled for my dog and then started running towards the base that I had set up right outside of yet another abandoned village I had found. I saw the door of my little dirt shack and ran as fast as I could until I nearly busted it off it's hinges as I opened and shut it as soon as Damon arrived as well. I sighed and sat on my bed. I was starting to give up on my search for human life. My faithful dog was all I had left. After eating some beef and feeding Damon as well, I layed down and quickly plunged into some much needed sleep to the sound of skeleton bones rattling and the fear of never being able to escape my nightmares.
