Here I am, racing through the valley, along with my herd. This is our home, a place where the grass grows and the herds run free. All was calm until one unusual day...
Let me start from the beginning,
It was a calm windy day out in the sun. My mother laying in the grass waiting for me to finally see the world. She neighed and cried out, trying to handle the pain. The quiet herd was standing from a distance wondering what's going to happen next. Suddenly I came out into the world, filled with curiosity and fear. Then I realize I'm not alone my mother and herd are with me. It was strange to see everyone staring at me, for a moment they looked surprised, then they all neighed and whinnied with joy and relief. I was the leader of the herd. But, before I could take over I needed some experience and time.

Chapter 1 : New Things
My father had already died by the time I was born, my mother tells me about him every once in a while. She says that he was a great herd leader, loyal too. He protected the young and old, making sure everyone had what they needed. Sometimes I tried to imagine me as my father galloping in his hoof tracks.
As a colt, I always felt the urge to try out my new legs and hooves. I loved to run along the valleys with my mother and the herd, me always racing to get in the lead. One unusual day, this white stuff began to fall from the sky. It got all over me! I was scared at first but, my mother explained to me that this stuff was called snow. It didn't hurt me, it was actually kind of magical. I went over to the other foals and colts, they all looked a lot like me but, I was different. I was a stallion.
Pretty soon my playmate's mothers and fathers explained the snow to them too. I asked if they wanted to play and, of course, they said yes with a bunch of neighs and whinnies. We galloped all around the snowy area, pretty soon though we were all very tired.
While my legs were still "moveable" I trotted over to a large pine. There was another weird and strange object. It didn't look alive, or harmful. I started to even wonder what it tasted like so, I licked it. Right when I did my mouth felt heavier and my tongue was weighed. That thing decided to stay on my tongue! I was shocked but yet, proud too. I ran back over to where my herd was standing, and slowly walked over to my mother with a smile. She looked very surprised, but not pleased. After a little while of the herd staring at me, and my mother looking concerned, she finally spoke with a sigh and told me about ice sickles. I soon realized that this thing wasn't going to come off soon...

Hey, I hope everyone liked the first chapter! This whole story is going to be based almost exactly off of the movie Spirit. If you don't know what the movie is your doomed. Just kidding, I'll tell you, it's a Dreamworks movie about a stallion named Spirit and he is the new leader of the herd. Something strange happens one day and he goes on a long journey.
It's one of my favorite movies and by the way, it's animated and throughout the movie Spirit only talks a little in it. I'm basically doing more of the talking for him, just as a book. I hope you enjoy the rest but I'll get to that later, sometime this week. Alright bye! Oh if you want comment(I need feedback) and follow me it means a lot!
