Chapter 3 - Would you like to be rejected?

Matt POV

Ugh , this is so annoying why does she have a boyfriend? Why didn't I know this. This is so frustrating she rejected me and now she's dating?

Flashback to when they are in 5th grade*

The bell has rung I run outside and saw Camila sitting with her friends

"Hey Camz lets go outside!" I pulled her away from her friends
"Can I borrow her for a second?"

"Yeah sure" one of her friend answered

I pulled her to the park where's it's quite because everyone is either busy eating at the cafeteria or their playing sports.

We let out heavy breath because we were running

"So.." She trailed off

"So," I said "I wanted to ask you an important question."

"Yeah..?"

"I'll just get to the point, umm so we've been bestfriend since kindergarten and umm.. I love your voice , your eyes it mesmerize me and your words they're amazing I just can't find better words to say this and umm.."I scratched my neck nervously

"Hey.. It's okay what do you want to ask me?" She said trying to calm me down

"Uhh, I love you and um would you like to umm.. Be my girlfriend?" I stutter

"Matthew lets go!" Jace said and we run to the car which was parked infront of us

When we arrived home Jace enter the house first I was picking up my the box that I got in my locker. I walked into my house and drop the box. I slammed the door as hard as I can

"Matthew!" Jace was about to scold me until he saw that I was crying

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Nothing" I said silently while picking up the box I just dropped

"That does not look like nothing, come on tell me." He pushed

"I said nothing!" I snapped and walk to my room

End of flashback*

"Matthew, hey Matthew!" I heard the teacher called out my name I guess I zoned out

I looked up to the teacher and everyone's eye is on me even Camila

"Are you okay? Do you need to go to the nurse?" The teacher asked

"Yeah I don't feel good" I said trying to excuse myself to the nurse

The teacher wrote a pass for me and I went to the nurse and lay down

I opened the box which is filled with the letters that we used to wrote to each other when we were young

I cried the whole night my parents keep on knocking on the door asking me if I was okay

"I'm not! Just leave me alone!" I shouted

The next day I woke up and my room is a mess I brush my teeth and went into the shower. I walked to the kitchen and everyone's looking at me

"Morning" I said while grabbing myself milk

"Morning honey" Mom replied

"Morning" Jace said with a smile
