My friends and I are taking our time to walk to class as the warning bell rings and of course, this is Bethany's cue to leave. She hates being late for class.
"All right guys, " she says as we all give her our attention. "Let's go to class and be scholars today." With that, she gives us a wave and a smile and takes off.
"Speak for yourself!" Kaiden yells back at her. Without turning back around, she flicks up the middle finger at him. Just as he was about to say something, I grab his hand and pull him to our class.
"Bye guys!" I say to Ivy, Bentley, and Damari.
I may hate-- strongly dislike school, but I absolutely love my schedule. That statement kind of contradicts itself but it's really true. I only have 5 classes because I've finished all my other credits. It's the same case for all of my other friends too, so we get to leave at the same time. Not only that, but in 4 of those 5 classes, I have one friend there with me so I can never be bored or look like a loner. Then in my last class, the 6 of us are there together. It's really a horrible, horrible combination, but it's the most fun ever.
Here's what my schedule basically looks like:
Italian 4: Mr. Marino (w/ Kaiden)
Orchestra: Ms. Sage (w/ Ivy)
Honors English 12: Ms. Gabble (w/ Damari)
AP Calculus: Ms. Nixon (w/ Bethany)
Computer Science: Mr. Lee (w/ everyone)
5 minutes after the final bell rings, Kaiden and I finally make it to Italian. We quickly and quietly go to the back of the classroom and start the warm up.
"Just out of curiosity, who was it this time that made you have to leave my house so quickly yesterday?" I ask Kaiden genuinely interested.
"Oh yea, it was Sharon this time." He said with a smirk on his face. "Why are you jealous?"
"Jealous of what? The fact that you slept with the school's slut or the fact that you're a hoe?" I retort.
"So what if I'm a hoe. At lea--"
"Mr. Archer," Mr. Marino says fuming. "First, you walk into my class late and now you want to talk? Well then you can do the warm up. Stand up and translate page 67 to Italian." Kaiden did as he was told and started to read.
"Ho amato il profumo dell'estate. Ha portato gioia al mio cuore. L'erba era più verde, il sole era più caldo, e la gente era più bello." As soon as he was done, he sits back down. His Italian was so good and his accent, sexy. I would never, ever admit it to him but it was definitely true. It made me a little irritated how he literally had all the girls in our class swooning. Mr. Marino was in shock. His parents were from Italy and whenever I go to his house, Italian was all they ever spoke with him and his other two sisters, so I had expected him to be and sound fluent, but Mr. Marino wasn't prepared. The rest of the class went smoothly and 40 minutes later, the bell rang. We all got out of the classroom to go to our next class.
"Like I was saying before I was rudely interrupted," Kaiden says as he gets in front of me. "So what if I'm a hoe? At least I can embrace it. Who knows? Maybe I'll change."
"Please, hoes stay hoes." I say rolling my eyes.
"That's is, until they find someone to be loyal to. Maybe for me, it's you." He says winking at me.
"Never going to happen."
"Oh look there's Sharon. Better go talk to her, and ask her if she wants a round two."
"You're nasty."
"Later!" He says catching up to Sharon and putting his arm around her. I walk to my Orchestra class to see Ivy smiling down at her phone. As she holds her phone in one hand and the violin in a the other.
