Blake woke up. He felt like a little child, all cuddled up in those blankets in his old room. It didn’t look like his room anymore, but the memories were still there, and he felt like he had gone back in time and was just waking up to go to school and his mother would be making waffles in the kitchen…how he wished he could go back to simpler times like that.

The thoughts of the previous night came all back to him, and he felt terrible for everything he had done and said. Sarah had said some pretty rough words to him, things he never imagined her saying. He had to end things with her; she went pretty far with her words, not caring about Blake’s mental health, or situation. Any feeling he could’ve still had towards her was now replaced with a blank, empty feel.

He could feel the smell of waffles coming from downstairs, and he realized his stomach was growling violently. He felt ready to eat now, even if it was still a little hard. He wasn’t okay, not at all. He wanted to get help for his now worsening condition; he couldn’t live like that anymore, with his past haunting him.

When he went downstairs, the first thing he saw was Amanda’s pretty chestnut hair cascading down to her hips. He felt so grateful for having her; she was all he had left.

“Blake! You’re awake! How are you feeling?” She asked, stopping the cooking she was doing and giving Blake a great hug.

“Okay… I guess.” Blake said, completely lying. He felt awful, his insides felt rotten and he had a really bad headache, but Amanda had gone through so much in the last few days, the last thing she needed was another thing to worry about.

“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it.” She said in a comforting tone. Blake thought she probably remembered the days after Margot died where he would lock himself up in his room and cry for hours, never eating anything, never saying anything about it.

“No… I do.” He said. He needed to talk about it even if it was a little hard. And he was willing to tell Amanda everything, even about Margot.

“Okay, I’m all ears” she said, grabbing a chair and sitting down in front of Blake after putting a plate full of waffles on the table. She grabbed his hand.

“Well…Sarah left, and it’s all because she thought I was…cheating” he said, in a slow, monotone voice. It was hard for him to say that, his wounds were still open.

“Wow, why?” Amanda asked, with a surprised tone in her voice. She knew Blake would never be able to do something like that, he was a hopeless romantic.

Blake sighed, “Because she found a necklace” he said.

“Whose necklace was it?” she asked.

“An… old girlfriend’s of mine” he answered, remembering Margot’s pretty face. Could Amanda remember it too?

“Blake, you’ve had a lot of girlfriends.” She said, and yes, she was right. Blake was pretty popular in high school, and that made him sort of a player. He could’ve literally picked any girl in that school and they’ve would’ve said yes immediately. Dating Blake Parker was something major in those times. Oh, how he wished he could go back to his glory days. If all those girls could see him now…he had turned into a complete wreck.

“Yeah, but she was special” he said, hoping he wouldn’t have to say the name aloud. It hurt so much to say it, to even bring her up.

“What was her name then? Let’s see if I remember one of those lucky ladies who got to date my brother” she said, lighting up the conversation a little bit.

“….M-Margot.” He muttered.

“Oh, you were muttering her name in your sleep last night…What was her last name?” she said, and Blake’s heart started beating really fast. He talked about her in his sleep?
