Chapter 2

Rachel's POV

We walked into the hall with everyone staring at us I felt so nervous my heart was pounding out of my chest "Everyone we have new comers so were gonna put them in their houses" Hagrid said people started mumbling things when Professor Mcgongacal came to the centre of the podium.   

"Ivy Blu, your first" McGongacal spoke she gluped I smiled at her reasuringly she smiled back as she sat on the stool when she put an old looking hat on Ivy she gasped but relax "Umm Ivy, Blu a young but powerful witch" did that hat really spoke i did not just ask myself that "Your in  Griffindor" the hat spoke loudly she smiled widley hopping off the stool everyone on Giffindor clapped and smiled at her as she took a seat next to Neville "The house I wanted" she said exitedly I wanted to be in Hufflepuff because my dad was in that house. "Okay Rachel Helfer your next" she smiled, I took a deep breathe as I sat on the stool. "ooo I see great things for you in Hufflepuff but you would be so good in Slithering" my heart stopped Slithering all the bad boys/girls really the he shall not be named was in that house. "Slithering" the hat called my heart raced as I walked slowly to the table I didn't know anyone but I sat at the end with some girl with long black hair she smiled at me as I smiled back.

"Let the feast begin" Dumbledore yelled soon the tables turned with loads of food on I grabbed a plate and began eating "Rachel eh" the girl said with mouthful of food "Yep the one and only" I smiled she chuckled "I am Rosedale Small" she smiled sticking her hand our I shook it. "Nice to meet you" she nodded as 3 boys kept staring at me one of them had light blonde hair the smirk on lips says it all. I gotta stay away from him even though he is kinda cute. I shook my head as I looked over to see Ivy talking laughing around with Neville and some kid with ginger hair.

After the food Hagrid kept me Ivy and some kid name Malfoy and the Harry Potter he was so famous in the wizarding world he is amazing. "Okay Harry, Malfoy we need you to watch over Ivy and Rachel just until they get used to the school grounds" Malfoy groaned as Harry nodded we all just walked out "Watch out Potter" Malfoy spat walking past with me following "Bye Ivy" she smiled and waved we walked down some dark hallway with laughter "You think your gonna stay friends with Ivy dont ya well your not gonna" I wanted to cry right pfft that kid isn't telling me who I cant and cannot hang out with. "Hey Rachel" Rosedale" smiled pulling me over to her group of friends but I could feel Malfoy was staring at me what was his problem.

"I have to show you around the common room" Malfoy said oh yippee "Okay" I shyly said we walked around when he showed me my room I walked in with bunch of girls gossiping "Rachel right" one of them jump off the bed "Yeah" I said uneasy "Your bed Is there" I nodded she smirked as she put in her headphones in reading some potion book.  I put my school bag down as I grabbed the heavy books off my little end table with my time table defence the dark arts class what the hell is that. I grabbed a few books with the same name then a girl came up "Rachel Malfoy is waiting for you" she said scared I thanked her going downstairs "Your in my class lets go" he rushed I sighed rolling my eyes as we walked out this is gonna be a very long day I can just tell.
