My name is Helen Stevens. I am going to tell you my story today. I am a happy girl now but at first I was one of those who you see every day on the streets, who are begging people for money and mercy. But then one day a change was about to take in my sad life. It was the day when I made friends with a rich girl called Caroline Lugworms. She was a really beautiful girl of my age. She was the only child to Mr. and Mrs. Lugworms. She always was eager to help everybody and addicted to prayers. She was like an angel who flew away with time, one moment with me, and the other vanished.

So I would start with the day of Friday, 2 May. It was a lovely and sunny day when I was begging on the street beside a great empty house. It was still early morning when I saw a gigantic truck coming towards the house. Following it came a shiny car in which a girl all bright and white sitting on the back seat. She

hadbig bright eyes, a sweet small smile on her face every time, soft straightblack and French hairstyle, a slim and white body and complexion, a tiny littlenose, wearing a yellow color frilly frock with matching sandals and ribbon onthe hair. Shewas truly beautiful. She helped the worker bringing the furniture and otherbelongings inside. The other day, I was sitting in front of her house when shecame out of it with a plate full of fried rice and chicken. I was just being sogreedy and the mice in my stomach began to run even faster. They needed food tovanish away. She came up to me and I stood up.
