Peter Pan's POV
We laid Snow down on her bed and I had some guys taking care of Ricky's burn. When I walked into my office I found John waiting there for me. John has been our most loyal boy and has always taken a protective stance for his brothers and Snow. He wants answers, but I don't know if I can give them to him.
"What happened to her." John asked with a voice full of authority. I know I'm not supposed to choose favorites, but John has always been special to me and Snow and I can't help but feel a swell of pride at his tone.
"John, it's not my place to say. You are just going to have to wait for her to wake up."
"Peter She is like my mother! You really expect me to take that answer and walk out of here like nothing is wrong? She caught on fire Pan! Fire! She should be dead!" John's eyes were glistening with tears as he spoke and I couldn't help but feel moved by the emotion in his voice.
"John, I can't tell you anything. I'm sorry."
"At least tell me if she will be okay. I can't loose her again."
" She will be okay John." I looked at the young man as he put his head in his hands and sat down. there was a moment of silence between us before he raised his head up and i saw a single glistening tear roll down his face.
"She better be Pan." He said with malice as he stormed out of the room.
After John left I quietly made my way back to Snow's room and sat by her bed. She was so strong and devoted that it broke my heart sometimes. When I found her she was around eight years old and had the most innocent face I had ever seen, but it was her eyes that caught me by surprise. They were so hard and determined like she thought she could take on the world. She had been in the woods with her parents on a camping trip when her father brought out a gun and shot her mother and himself. I just so happened to be walking by when I heard the first shot. When I arrived at their campsite I saw the man shoot himself and then a small girl run to the scene. She didn't cry out or yell or beg them not to leave. She simply checked their pulse and pulled out a phone to call the authorities. She made an anonymus call and then picked up her bag and walked further into the woods, never looking back. Curious as to where she was going I followed her. She widdled a stick as she walked and fachioned a bow and an arrow out of it. I watched her stalk and kill a rabbit and then make a campfire. She made a rabbit stew and pulled two bowls out of her pack. I curiously wondered who she was expecting, but then she looked in the dirrection of my hiding place and asked if I was going to join her or not. I was surprised that she could even hear me, I mean come on I am a wod elf. She nonchalantly handed me the stew and asked what it was like being an elf. It took me a few moments to recover from such a direct question, but the more we talked the more I realized that she was special. I took her in and we survived off the forest together. She explained that her parents were going to sell her into slavery and were taking her on one last camping trip before she left. she had no intention of going back with them and hhad no idea that her father was going to kill her mother and himself, but she took it in stride and lived her life. She was so strong. I only saw her cry once about their death and then she was over it. Her emotions were so hard to read sometimes that I thought she had a heart of Ice, but I soon realized that she had a heart of snow. Once you got past the cold she was a fun and loving girl that had more emotions than I gave her credit for. That is why I call her snow to remind both of us that we are strong and with each other we can conquer anything.
Snow's POV
I woke up at dawn as usual and the events of last night played in my head. I looked at my hands to see that I was unharmed by the flames. I quickly got up to go check on Ricky, but stopped when I noticed Pan sleeping in a chair by my bed. Not wanting to wake him I tried to quietly go about my morning routine. As I was going through my dresser to find something to wear I was sudenly tackled to the ground and restrained with my hands over my head. I looked into the hard dark eyes of Pan and scrunched my eyebrows up in confussion.
"Pan what the crap are you doing?" I asked in a bored tone.
"Who are you?" He yelled in my face.
"What are you talking about stupid? It's me! Snow!" His eyes widened in realization, but only left me more puzzled. He slowly climbed off of me and mumbled somethign about full transformation. Without saying a word he handed me a mirror and I stared in shock at my reflection.
