I put the paper back to where I found it and leave the room to also put the candle back to where I got it from. I sigh and look around again.
I notice two corridors, one on each side of the stairs. Wondering where they lead I decide to follow the one on the left.

The corridor is paved with more paintings but these aren't abstract but surreal illustrations of humans or human like figures. Again I let my hands feel the paint and the stroke the brush went.

I really like these paintings. They portrait the way I feel being in this strange castle, caged, alone, yet always watched and given little freedom.

It's like I have wings that are made to fly but can't reach the sky. I can't fly, I can't run, I only can crawl reaching out for freedom.

I wipe away a tear that slowly flows down my cheek and continue walking down the long corridor. It's only lightened by a few candlestands hanging on the wall between the paintings.

After quite a long time of walking I arrive in front of a huge portal. I reach out to lighty knock.
I hear loud chatter from the other side before the old wooden door opens to show a thin figure. A male around my age as it appears. He glares at me suspiciously.

"Who are you?" He hisses.
"I am Kim Taehyung." I introduce myself with a bow.
The other males eyes widen.
"Kim Taehyung? As in Kim?"

I slightly tilt my head. "If you mean Kim as Namjoon or Seokjin, then no. I am not related to them. But they bought me I guess. "
I look down as I don't want him to see the confusion and insecurity in my expression.

He breathes a sigh of relief and chuckles. "So you're the new one! We've been wondering when you'd arrive. I'm Jeon Jungkook. I am positioned as the highest of the slaves, the so called patriarch." I look up and catch the rather proud smile on his face.

"Nice to meet you." I give him a formal smile and think for a second "I've been assigned to Jimin." It's more of a question than a statement but Jungkook doesn't seem to notice.

"Oh you lucky bastard! I've been trying to get that position for years and you just got here and instantly get the best job. How unfair." He pouts and I don't even bother to hide my confusion.

He chuckles. "The new one are always so cute when they're confused and don't know what's going on. Okay so let me enlighten you."
He gestures around us "This is the Kim Castle, our home. The Kims are our Masters since they've bought us as slaves but you probably already knew that."
I just nod and listen. "So the Kim Family earns a lot of money by trading and other business stuff they don't tell us about. We rarely ever see them, that's why they need us to clean the house and garden you know? "

I nod again. That part is not surprising to me. I've already found out that they're trading for business. I'm still wondering what they trade but Jungkook doesn't seem to have any information about that either.

"As you may have concluded are we a lot of slaves in this house. Everyone is assigned a special area. And you my friend got the lucky jackpot. "
"What is so special about serving Jimin?"

Jungkook leans close towards me and lowers his voice. "Satisfaction, my friend, it's the satisfaction you'll earn if you do a good job." We winks and just leaves inside again.

"Jungkook wait! I still have questions!" I try opening the doors again but don't succeed. I furiously knock but nothing.
That conversation left me with more confusion than before. I let out a sight and walk down the corridor until I get back into the great hall.

Jimin said I should be back before sunrise, right? But how am I supposed to know when the sun rises if there aren't any windows.

Another sigh and I make my way back to Jimins room. I knock before I enter. Jimin is laying on his bed, licking his fingers. Seems like he just ate.
Something red drips off his chin. He probably had wine.
