Sienna and I were sitting in her car, smoking the last few of cigarettes she had left from yesterday. It was only the two of us since Chelsea had Calculus with Mrs. Thomas, and we decided to skip Pre-Calc and just go outside for a smoke. Or Sienna's car, if you want to get specific.
I shook my head as I drew on my cigarette. "You's such a pansy, SiSi," I teased.
Sienna rolled her eyes, already knowing what I was referring to. "Suck it, Mia. We're at school right now, Menthol was probably the best choice," she reasoned.
"I know," I acknowledged with a sigh and took another drag of my cigarette.
"At least they're better than Smoothes," she said, referring to the cigarettes.
I nodded in agreement and my face scrunched up in disgust. "True, that shit tastes like straight up mouthwash."
"Yeah, I know. I don't know how Chels can smoke that," she commented.
"She probably only does it so she doesn't have to share with us," I joked.
Sienna laughed lightly. "That's probably true, although I wouldn't be surprised. We always stole her packs."
We laughed and took another drag of our cigarettes. We were in comfortable silence for a bit, only letting the soft sound of the radio on.
"Hey," she spoke up, "let's take a picture and send it to Chels just to annoy her."
I sat up straighter in my seat and brushed down my dark hair with my free hand. "Okay, but you send it."
She rolled her green eyes, held the cigarette between her full, rosy lips, and picked her iPhone from where it was resting on her lap. She did the same as I did with her long, honey blonde hair. She quickly slid her fingers on the screen of the iPhone before holding it up with her free hand and taking the cigarette from between her lips and holding it close to her face. I leaned in so my head wasn't cut off in the picture and flipped off the camera whilst still holing the cig. The clicking sound of the phone went off after we did a silly expression for the camera.
Sienna giggled and proceeded to send the picture to Chelsea. "She's going to be so annoyed."
"Not our fault Mrs. Thomas is such a hardass," I told her and shrugged as I took another drag of my cigarette.
Sienna hummed in agreement, but didn't say anything after that, leaving me to finish my cigarette in silence. I looked out the window and scanned the parking lot of the school. Sienna had to park further away from the school's entrance, near the back of the school grounds since she came in half-way through first period. She now had the necklace resting between the top of her breasts.
Movement caught my attention when I saw a familiar looking guy talking on the phone a few cars down from us.
Huh, I mused, so we weren't the only one's who decided to skip Mr. Q's class.
I could recognized Chase Forbe's posture, and maybe his back and derriere too, from anywhere. Okay, and maybe the back of his head too. One hand in his pocket, or running through his dirty blond hair, and the other one holding something. Anything, since he always seemed to be holding something. Whether it is his phone, a red solo cup, a cig, or his girlfriend's hand. His back was facing us, one hand in his back pocket and the other one holding his phone to his ear. He seemed to be frustrated since he kept looking up at the sky and and also judging by how tense his back was.
He suddenly started walking towards us and I almost ducked down, but then I remembered that Sienna's car had extremely tinted windows. He was still speaking on the phone, but he was pacing around the parking lot, close to our car. I reached to turn down the radio and pressed the button to slide down my window an inch. It will probably go unnoticed by him since all of his focus was on whoever he was speaking to.
