My breathing quickened. I couldn't stop it, or the feeling of terror creeping into my mind. The bag was still over my head and the vehicle moving to an unknown destination. Who are these people? Where are they taking me? And why?

I tried to call out in my head to Liam once more, but I doubted he would- or could- respond...

Liam? Liam, please. Can you hear me? Are you hurt? Oh, come on Liam. On the verge of crying from the hopelessness of the situation, I managed to calm myself instead.

He's just unconscious. Liam's fine. He's fine... He's fine... But what about me?

From under the bag, I attempted to make out my captor's words. I tried reading their thoughts before, except it hadn't worked. I wondered if they had something to do with my powers.

"Do you think these helmets are working?" One guard asked.

"I don't know, maybe. The Boss gave them to us because they thought they'd work, so yeah," Uh oh. They have a boss. I'm guessing these guys aren't just kidnappers.

"Yeah, I suppose you're right. How's the girl?"

"Quiet. Maybe knocked-out. Or passed-out from fright," Good, they think I'm not listening.

"Heh. Just think: If she was dead, we'd get rewarded for sure from the Boss."

"No, you idiot. We don't want her dead. The Boss wants to use them, remember?" What does she want with me? Wait. Them? Are there others?

"Hey, we're almost here. If the girl is awake, we better stick her. Just to be safe."

"Good thinking. Stick her," I heard shuffling, and the grabbing of an object. Stick her? What does that mean? Before I could process his words, something jammed into my body. I fet my brain go dark, and my body slump to the ground.
