Chapter 6
Nate's POV-
I can't believe she is spending the night at another guys house. I don't think she understands how sorry I am that this is how it turned out. It wasn't supposed to turn out like this.
Blair's POV-
We watched like a million movies, we watched Legally Blonde 1&2, whatever Disney Princess movie he had, and the Hunger Games movie series. It was the most bomb way to forget all of my problems and I fell asleep after Catching Fire. I had a really weird dream of my wedding night but, I was smiling and happy, trust me I was not happy that night.
"Wakey, wakey eggs and bakey!!!" I hear Carter scream in my face.
"What the hell Carter?" I scream back at him while sitting up on the very comfortable couch. I rub my pounding head and look at my phone for the time and it read 5:45. "Shit," I cursed under my breath, "Hey, Carter thanks for letting me stay for the night but, I got to go. Bye." I say walking out the front door to my car but, before I close the door I heard Carter say, "Bye see ya at work!!!" I ma lucky that I always have a change of clothes in my car. On my way to work I listen to my new favorite song "She Used to Be Mine" by Sara Bareilles. When I arrive at work I notice one car in particular in the parking lot, Nate's car.
"Ugh," I mumble to myself, "I really don't want to deal with this today."
"Blair we need to speak now." I heard Nate say walking up behind me.
"No, we really don't. All I did was spend the night at a friends house." I say walking into the building.
"Yeah another man's house." he says now, walking beside me. Dong, I hate his hot, long legs. Wait, did I just say hot? No, no, no he is in no way hot. Annoying, stupid, yes but, not hot.
"So, I am not cheating on my 'husband'," I say, turning around when we arrive at my office, mimicking the quotation marks with my hands. "I am not that kind of woman, even if it is fake."
"I know you aren't that kind of woman but, what if he or any guy is that kind of guy." he says acting concerned, emphasises on acting.
"Oh shut up, you and my father just don't want a big scandal coming out. Now, leave before I call security to escort you off the premises." I say walking into my office and slamming the door in his face. I set down all of my things on my office desk and sat down on my very big and comfy office chair. Just then I hear commotion outside of my door.
Nate's POV-
"So, I am not cheating on my 'husband'," Blair says, turning around when we arrive at her office, and she mimick the quotation marks with her hands. I almost laugh at this but, suppress it when she starts talking again. "I am not that kind of woman, even if it is fake."
"I know you aren't that kind of woman but, what if he or any guy is that kind of guy." I say concerned about her but, I doubt that she thinks I really am.
"Oh shut up, you and my father just don't want a big scandal coming out. Now, leave before I camm security to escort you off the premises." she says walking into her office and slamming the door in my face. I can't believe that her father didn't tell her about the deal our families made together way before we were born.
"Hey, why are you standing outside Blair's door?" I hear a vaguely familiar voice behind me say.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that, since she is my wife." I say snarkily at the guy standing in front of me. Wait a minute, that is the ex-boyfriend who broke up with Blair for money. I didn't know that he work for her father, much less in this branch.
"Oh, so you're my replacement." he says cockily, "I'm Bennett and just so you know, Blair is kind of a bitch."
"What. Did. You. Just. Say?" I say raising my voice and trying to keep my cool.
"I said that Blair is a b-i-t-c-h. Got it or do I need to say it slower." he says acting like I am stupid or something.
I grab him by his shirt collar and shove him up against the wall and say, "If those words ever come out of your mouth I will personally kill you. Got it or do I need to say it slower" I say into his ear. He slowly nods and I let him go. As soon as his feet hit the ground Ii hear...
Blair's POV-
I walk of my office to find Nate with Bennett, by his collar, about 3 feet off the ground shoved up against the wall. It looked like Nate was whispering something into Bennett's ear. As soon as Bennett's feet hit the ground I say, "What the hell are you doing, Nate?"
"Teaching your ex-lover here a lesson." he says coolly, turning to face me. "What does it matter to you?"
"It matters because he is one of my employees and I don't need him going to my dad and getting me punished. Now, leave. I am serious and don't beat anyone up on your way out." I say stomping my foot and going back into my office. I grab my bag with my change of clothes and the everyday stuff I need in it and run to the bathroom. Once I get into the bathroom I lock the door and begin to get ready. I change into a white short sleeve blouse, a tan pencil skirt that reaches to the top of my knees with a skinny gold belt, a pearl necklace, magenta flats and a purple/blue ¾ sleeve sweater. I put my hair in a bun on the high crown area of my head and my favorite gold watch on my right wrist. I keep my makeup minimal, with just some mascara ad some tinted lip balm.
