*Blythe*

We finally landed in California and neither of families knew we were coming home well except my sister, hopefully she didn't ruin the surprise. I texted her letting her know we were around the corner. This is gonna be a great gift for my mom.

We pulled in the driveway and Beau was standing in front of the door waving her hands at us. Will parked the car and I jumped out the car running into my sister's arms. She squealed and hugged me tight bouncing around, I missed this little knucklehead so much. We always stayed in contact; texting, calling and Facetime.

"Welcome home, Blythe! It's so good to see you. I miss you, you pain in the ass."
"Wow and that's coming from you." I said hugging her one more time. She walked over to Will and hugged him tightly, there was a time she almost threw herself at him.
"Everyone is inside?"
"Every single body even Will's family. Also Dad and his new family." Well that makes this even better holiday.

She opened the door and we creeped in quietly. Everyone was in the living room dresses up all festive and drinking either wine, champagne or scotch. It feels as if I haven't seen my family in forever. My cousins, uncles, aunts, friends, Will's family, Beau and Mom.

"Can I have everyone's attention please?" Beau shouted out and all eyes were on her. I could feel my heart racing fast and my hands shaking.
"Well it's time for the biggest surprise for everyone especially to Mom and Mr. and Mrs. Derek."
"Beau what did you do this time?"
"Well I think you'll have to see for yourselves but first you might want to sit down." From the creaking noise from the ground and the furniture adjusting, they sat down and the room was suddenly quiet. I grabbed Will's hand and we walked out together.

The moment we walked out it seemed like the moment when I was pulled out of my mother's stomach. Her eyes opened widely and her eye filled with tears of joy and happiness. She began crying and walked over to me hugging me tightly. My arms wrapped around her not wanting to let her go forever, it felt as if I was an a forever long adventure and I have finally returned home. She cried in my shoulder repeating over and over 'My baby is home! My baby is finally home!'

Looking over at Will, his mother did the same and his father's eyes were flooding with tears, I haven't seen it like this in a long time. We looked at each other and smiled. I looked over at my mom and continued hugging her. "I missed you so much Momma! I missed you."
"I missed you too baby. You are finally home."

Hours Later...

We sat together, laughed, ate a delicious dinner and just enjoyed each other. As if this is only something you see in movies. I haven't smiled this way in a while ever since I left for college. I know this Christmas and New Year's is gonna be the best.

We all came to the patio outside and I think it was time that me and Will share our engagement. Ever since that night, we didn't mention anything or even what happened. I tried to erase that memory ever since the minute I stepped on that plane.

"Blythe, you know you and William make a fine pair. Are you two ever gonna get married?" Mrs. McCarter asked us, she use to take care of me and Beau when we were little.
"Well that really brings out the other part of the surprise. Everybody! Can I have a minute to share some great news." William announced.
"Oh now what William, you two and your surprises." his mother said to him sitting on the couch.
"Well this one is special especially for me and Blythe. As you know, Blythe and I have been friends ever since we were both conceived." Everyone giggled and clicked their glasses.

"But this girl has been through with me ever since day one from the fights in elementary school, nearly failing middle school and helping me get my life together when I was doubted a couple of times. Despite our skin color and families, she is and always will be the most precious thing to me and what we both like to announce is that...I have asked her to marry me over the summer time and she said Yes."

Soon everyone went in a surprise notion as if they didn't want this to happen but then in the spare ten seconds everyone clapped and smiled at us.
"Oh my darlings, congratulations." Mrs Derek came hugging both of us. I looked over trying to find my mom and she was on the phone with someone. She was smiling and giggling, wonder who it was?

I walked into the house past all our guest and came to my mother. "Oh, she just came to me. We will see you tomorrow night. Bye Rachel." Rachel?! Oh no. "Blythe, guess what? Rachel and Trevor have invited us to their Christmas party and they want both you and Will to come too."
"They said what?" Just hearing Trevor's name made my heart stop and blood boil like lava.
"Tomorrow night it's their Christmas party and they invited us to come! You should be excited, you haven't seen them since the summer.". Yeah, there is a reason why.
"I don't know Mom cause we just wanted to spend time with you guys all day even night."
"Oh we have all month for that. Just go with us tomorrow please? For me as a Christmas gift." I can't believe this.
