Matt's POV
Me and Jack were sitting on the bench just talking. one minute I look over and I see Hailey attempting to climb across the monkey bars; the most adorable thing. then the next minute I look over and I see a tall, thin, old looking lady holding Hailey by her arm tightly and telling her something. Hailey looked petrified and on the edge of crying. We ran over there; I picked Hailey up and held her tight while she buried her face into my shoulder. I could feel her tears soak into my shirt and hear her soft cries.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" jack said to her.
"I'm her aunt, her guardian" she replied.
"How dare you say that!"
"Hand her over now."
Jack ended with, "get out of here now or I'm calling the police. I don't ever want to see your face again and don't you dare lay a hand, let alone a finger on her!" and with that she ran off. Hailey sobbed and sobbed. We tried to comfort her the best we could but she wouldn't give in for along time until finally she fell asleep; I'm guessing she burnt herself out. Once we got home I layed her on the couch to sleep and waited until Cameron and the rest of the boys got home. They did a few hours later, I told them everything and Cam was ticked at first but decided to calm down and realized atleast we still have Hailey with us.
Hailey's POV
I woke up in the living room and Cam was sitting beside me; I crawled onto his lap and he rocked back and forth.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm alright." I replied. I didn't know what else to say. We all ate supper together, joked around and talked. After seeing "you know who" today at the park made me realize I'm happy for my new family; I love every single one of them.
