Liz and I ride back to my house together, both of us depressed and miserable.
"So you're going to go through with this?" she asks, head down on the console of my Jeep.
"What choice do I have?" I point out. "Chase won."
She moans, "I can't believe this. Mason's on the verge of breaking up with me, and Cameron's not happy with you either. How did this become such a huge shit-show?"
I throw her a surprised glance. "Well, someone's a little more than pissed."
"I am! No one messes with my relationship—or my cousin's relationships. We're going to take that asshole down."
"You sound so much like Grace it's scary." I tell her, and we share a brief laugh before our misery sets in again.
"I really messed up with Cam." I admit, swallowing hard. "I'll be lucky if he ever speaks to me again."
Liz looks at me. "No way, he will. He cares a lot about you."
"I know." I frown. "Wait, how do you know?"
"Oh, I, um...I can just tell."
"Did he talk to you about me or something?"
"Nope."
"You answered pretty quickly, Liz. You sure about that?"
"Yep. We don't really talk."
I roll my eyes, but I don't press further. "Well in that case, I'm sure that Mason will come around too."
"Possibly. He's never been this mad at me." She sighs. "Seriously, though, we need to get Chase out of here. He's ruining everything, just like he said he would."
"Yeah but how the hell are we going to do that?"
"Well he seems to know everything about us—shouldn't we know something secret about him? You did date him."
"Regrettably." I growl. "I can't remember anything important."
"As evil as he is, there's bound to be something to incriminate him."
I pull into my driveway and shrug. "Maybe. We'd better go get ready."
"Just so you know, it's not as bad as you think. Minus the fact that you have a psycho for an escort." Liz replies, and I scowl as I park my car.
"Yep. That's the kicker."
We head up my front steps, and I'm just pushing through the door when Liz grabs my arm.
"Dude!" she shouts, startling me into dropping my keys.
"What is wrong with you?"
"Chase is your escort!"
"Yeah I know! That's the problem!"
"No, it's the solution!" We walk in the door. "You'll be with him all night, so you'll be able to get something dirty on him easy!"
"So now I have to talk to him? Is that what you're saying?"
"Yes." she answers. "I know you can get something out of him. He might even blurt out a juicy secret."
"Our luck's not that good." I sigh. "Fine. I'll do it."
"Great! Now let's get dressed and plan this out."

There's a girl in the mirror.
She's wearing a full pink dress with a sequined sash around her waist, has her hair up regal style, and has earrings dangling from her ears.
