A New World

Chapter 1

Hey guys CooperMan3 here and I am back with another story. If you are confused this story is going to replace the Undead. I hope you enjoy this book:)

I got home from school that day laid my book bag on the ground and plopped on the couch. I turned the television on and watched a basketball game. Five seconds later and my phone starts buzzing. I picked up my phone and saw that Charolote had sent a video.
"Hello everyone and welcome to the semi annual hunger games reaping!"
She was wearing a purple and ping wig with a long orange dress. She started naming who was in each district. I happened to be in district three with Emma. Soon after the video was posted Emma, Ryan, Noah, and Charolote asked me to be apart of their alliance. Without question I said yes.

The next day came and I got in my car to drive to Charolote's house. When I got there I saw everyone was there.
"Hey you made it." Noah said.
"Yeah I did. I couldn't miss the party." I said with happiness. We all grabbed a bag with a water and candy inside of it. We walked out to the cornucopia and gathered in a big circle. Lawson gave a loud countdown and we were off. I ran towards my alliance. We found a good sized tree to set up camp.
"Alright what is the strategy?" Emma questioned.
"I think we should try and split up and find peop-" Ryan stated before there was silence.
"Someone here. Quiet" we all payed down in fear of being seen. I couldn't make out who it was but it looked be Dalton, Cole, and Kyle. They were trying to be as quiet as they can. All of a sudden I here then shout,
"Who are you!"
It looked to be as a dark figure slowly coming towards them. The person couldn't walk straight. It was like he kept stumbling. Then it turned around. It was Lawson but it didn't look like him. He looked really pale and his eyes were a dull yellow.
"Oh hey Lawson truce," Cole questioned.
No answer. They kept walking toward it. Then what was supposed to be Lawson started to walk towards them not blinking. I was pretty scared to be honest. They kept walking towards each other until Lawson took a bite out of Dalton's arm.
"Ahhhhhh Help!"
The screams were horrible. One after the other the three were lying on the ground motionless. We all got up and ran as fast as we could.
"What was that," Charolote screaming.
"I don't know but keep running," Ryan said.
I don't know how long we have been running but it was a long time. "What just happened?"
"I know. The walking dead is happening." Emma stated in fear.
