<TONYS POV>

I woke up to a loud buzzing in my ear. I groaned and picked my phone off the bed. The number was unknown.

"Hello?"

"Hello! Is this Tony?" A rather preppy girl said from the other line.

"Um, yes..." I was so confused. "And you are?"

"My name is Mary Puckette. I work at Sidepoint Adoption Center." She replied.

Why is someone from a adoption center calling me? AT 9:30 IN THE FREAKIN MORNING?!?

"Why are you calling me? Not trying to be rude, I'm just confused."

"We have your daughter."

"D-daughter?" I asked, making my heart skip a beat.

"Yes. Her mother, Amelia Corone, recently died and your name is on the birth certificate as the father."

Amelia was my Ex. My first real love.

"Amelia? She's dead? I have a daughter?" I whispered quiet enough so she couldn't hear.

"Sir? Are you still there?" She sounded worried.

"Um...ya I'm here." I ran a hand through my hair. "What do I have to do?"

"If you could come down and meet her.You can decide to either keep her, or-"

"Or?" I cut her off.

"Or put her up for adoption."

"Ok....what's the address?" I asked.

"5820 Sidepoint Way in Los Angeles."

I thanked her and hung up the phone, calling Jaime. I started to get dressed.

"Hey Tony!" He almost yelled.

"Why are you so hyper?"

"Just had coffee with Monster mixed in!!" He yelled

"Ok then... Hey I need you to come over. I'll explain when you-"

DING DONG!!!!

Jesus

"Jaime, what's up with you!?!" I asked opening the door.

"I ran here!"

"You live down the street you could have walked!!"

He shrugged and I explained the call.

"Do you know her age? Even her name?"

I shook my head as we got in my car. "She never said."

After a hour we pulled up to the adoption place. I took a shakey breath and Jaime patted my back. I walked into the center. Looking around at all the pictures of kids and their family. Cards from different kids who apparently used to live here. A small couch in the corner and a desk straight ahead. I hesitantly went towards the desk, Jaime in tow. The desk lady looked up at me.

"Um, hi. I talked to Mary Puckette earlier today."

"Ah, you must be Tony!" She stood up. "Come with me, Tony and...?"

"Hime!!" He yelled.

"JAIME! Sorry he had caffeine." I apologized.

"It's ok" she laughed.

She lead us to a room, inside was a little girl with long dark brown hair and piercing green eyes, playing with building blocks. She got the eyes from Amelia. She looked about 4 or 5. She looked somewhat like me when I was younger, of corse she looked like a girl though.

"Gabi, I'd like you to meet someone." Mary said softly.

She looked at her with a confused face. Mary stepped aside and I walked up to her slowly, not wanting to scare her. I crouched down to her level.

"H-hi." She said shyly. "I'm Gabi."

"Hi Gabi." I smiled.

"Hi Gabi! I'm Jaime!" He said, quieter this time.

"How old are you Gabi?" I asked.

"Four" she held up three fingers. Obviously she can't count.

"Gabi, this is your dad." Mary said, gesturing towards me.

"Daddy?" She whispered. I nodded.

She studied me for a second before wrapping her tiny arms around my neck. I hugged her back. My hands resting just under her shoulder blades.

"Did you come to rescue me?" She whispered in my ear.

"Yes baby, I did." She started crying into my shoulder.

"Thank you daddy." I smiled and hugged her tighter.

"Jaime, can you get her things while I sign the papers, please?"

"Yea, be right back." He replied.

I picked Gabi up and set her on my hip.

I have a daughter. This little girl is my daughter. She's mine. And I love her to pieces.
