Mitch POV
"I don't want you picking up Alex from school alone anymore," he said casually while I cooked supper. Chris Ellis, my husband of 5 years, has always been quite over-protective. When we first started dating he always wanted to know what I was doing, or who I was with. I never thought much of it, I thought it was cute. Everything has changed now. I don't think the word over-protective justifies how he acts. Possessive maybe?I'm not allowed to leave the house without telling him where I'm going, who I'm going with, how long I'll be and what I'll be doing. Even with all those answers, he forces me to share my location with him using a bracelet, so he can watch where I'm going. He makes me call him every hour to inform him of what I'm doing and where I am. On bad days he won't let me leave the house at all, claiming that I'll run off and cheat on him.
Chris works as the 1 of the CEOs of "Apple", he works in the laptop department. It's a normal 9-5 job, he doesn't tell me much about what it consist of all I know is that he works with laptops. His job does have some pros, for example, he gets whatever apple product he wants for free. He has every single apple product that has ever been invented in his at home office. I'm not allowed to have a phone, Chris says that if I had a phone I'd run off with another boy, or I'd start chatting with boys online behind his back. I'm okay with it, though, I would much rather spend my time with my little boy Alex. He's the light in my life.
"I-I don't know anyone who would be a-able to come with me, though," I whispered, not wanted to offend him.
"Do you think I care? Find someone, ask Kirstin or something," he yelled, throwing the newspaper he was reading across the room. Anger problems ran through his family, his dad had a pretty bad case of it. I remember the first time I met him he and Chris got into a huge fight over what to watch on tv, there was a lot of punches and yelling involved, in the end, the tv was in pieces. It was scary to watch I all unfold, it was definitely a red flag but I ignored it. I loved him too much.
"I'm going to bed, and don't even think about joining me," he spat, "there's a perfect spot on the couch calling calling your name."
Just a normal night in the Ellis house, I'm just glad that Alex is asleep.
