"Mom, whats going on?"
"Lilak, please don't make this hard on me."
"MOM. TELL ME WHATS GOING ON."
"Fine, look. DO NOT TELL ANYONE."
"Promise Mom." I say walking to my computer class, which is empty. Mr Fox won't mind.
"This man came on the lawn, and He was looking through the window. I got my gun, and I asked him to get off of the lawn."
She pauses.
"Okay, continue."
"So then I-" I heard Sirens in the background"
"I asked him to leave and he started saying inappropriate things, so I shot him"
"Mom, please be safe. I will take care of Nick. I love you."
She hung up, because the police were coming. What do I do?
I went to the front office, and asked Fran to get her out of class. As I was on the verge of tears, Jade walked into the office.
"Hi Ms. Fran! Mr Jean told me to come down to the-" She saw me.
"Lilak whats wrong?"
"I need to stay at your house tonight." I said, finally crying.
"Babe, what happened?"
I grabbed her hand, dragging her out of the office into the empty hall.
"My mom killed someone."
