"What do you mean?" Jade said fraticly.
"She called me and told me. A man tried was saying inappropriate things, and she shot him." I replied, wiping away tears.
"Okay, we should go home. I'll call my mom, and you get Nick. Meet up right in the office." Jade dialed her mom.
"JADE WAIT! Don't tell her that my mom killed someone. I shouldnt've even told you. Please." I responded. She nodded. I walked downstairs to the 2nd grade classroom. The second graders were all napping, so I walked over to the teacher.
"Hi Mrs Brazil. I need Nick for the rest of the day, a family emergency."
"That's fine, just please don't wake the other students." I walked to to end of the room, and picked him up.
"Come on, Nick. We need to go." I whispered in his ear. He got up, and I carried him to the office. Jade's mom was there in the office.
"Thanks, Ms Spears." I told her, still holding Nick in my arms, his backpack in my hand.
"Call me Gwen. Now let's get going." We walked out of school, and got into her 2014 Toyota Corolla. It was a nice car, in my opinion.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, what happened with your mother? Is she okay?" Ms Spears said breaking the silence. I didn't want to answer, but luckily I didn't have to.
On the radio, a announcement came on.
"Breaking News: Woman pistol whips a man, and stabs him then takes all of his belongings. Suspects name is Heather Garcia-"
I almost fainted. Mom lied to me, and is a wanted criminal. Everything went black.
