15 Years Later-

Kate's sons birthday is today. She can't believe how fast his grew up.

"Good morning mom." He hugged and gave his mother a kiss on the cheek.

"Morning and Happy birthday buddy." Heading over his birthday card and present.

"Thank you mom. You didn't have to get me anything." He gave me a big hug.

"I know you said you didn't want anything but you deserve it and why can't I spoil my son." I waited tell he opened it.

"Wow mom I didn't expect you to get me this. Your the best." He beamed at me with a big smile.

Ring!

"You going to answer that mom?" I saw the sadness in he eyes.

"Beckett" I said. Hearing Esposito's voice over the phone.

"I'll be there" I hung up the phone and looked at my son.

"Go mom it's your job. I'll see you when you get home." He said with a fake smile.

I really don't like seeing my son sad. I wish I had more time to spend with him. I try to spend time with him when I can.

"You know I love you right."

"I know you do mom and I love you too. Just please be safe." He said giving me a hug and kiss on the forehead.

"I'm luck to have you in my life. Oh we could go out to lunch during my lunch break. Meet me outside the precinct."

"Why can't I meet your co workers?"

I really didn't want him to know I've been working with his father who has been shadowing me for the past 2 years.

"Love you" I ignored his question and walked out the door.

I got to the crime scene and saw Castle and the boys.

I noticed that Trevor really does look like Castle. He has his eyes and height. Most of his facial features too. Why? I shouldn't be afraid to let my co workers I have a son. But I don't like share my personal life at work. My own best friend Lanie doesn't even know I have a son.

We got done at the crime scene.

Castle and I went to the victims apartment.

"Hey Beckett you okay?" Castle asked with concern in his voice.

I looked at him and I felt guilt that I'm keeping my own son away from his father. Don't get me wrong since I got to know Castle the past few years I've noticed his a great father. He is great with his daughter Alexis.

"I'm fine Castle."

"I know your lying Kate. I can see it in your eyes. You know can talk to me." He said looking straight at my eyes. Sometimes I hate that he can read me.

"I really don't want to talk about it." I snapped.

"Okay."

Went back to the precinct.

I sat in my chair and thinking Castle would do the same but he didn't.

I looked at the clock and it was lunch time.

"Hey mom."

I looked up and saw my son standing in front of my desk.

"What are you doing here?" I asked shocked to see my son up here when I told him to wait outside.
