It's been a year since I saw him. I missed him, but what he did I could never forget. 'Sebastian, what where you thinking back then?' I murmured to myself about Sebastian.
'How did that even happen?' I kept on thinking about the day we had used the ouija board. 'Why us? Why did it happen to us? Now I'm stuck with these losers' I walked downstairs from my new home. It was my step fathers old house until he recently passed. I ran down the stairs and greeted Sam the "butler"
"Wassup" Sam responded in an unusual tone. It was as he was hiding something from me. "Sam, what did you do this time?" I stood in front of him slightly tilting my head.
"Uhhhhhh, I really did nothing Brook!" He was shaking his head looking even more suspicious. I kissed him and asked him again, this time he couldn't resist. "Uh, I may have ate the last cookie." I froze on my way to the kitchen and slowly turned to face him. He backed away from me as if I was molten lava.
"Brook!!! I'm sorry, look I'll buy you more cookies just for you!" He was practically begging. I smiled and ran up to him and hugged him. He seemed so tense, so I snuggled into his chest. He relaxed a bit and hugged me. We hugged for a while until his brother Eric came in.
"Aw the two love birds are here, lemme guess you two had a little fight and just got over it?" Eric stared at me and Sam scoffed. "Fine ignore me" Eric walked to the library in the house.
"Hey Sam" I looked him in the eye. "Yea doofus?" Sam smiled and kissed my forehead then interlocked his hand with mine. I started to walk towards the kitchen pulling him along with me. "Guess what day it is." I had a bit of excitement in my step. "Uhh." He stopped us both for a second and peaked into the kitchen where his other brothers were.
"Uhh I know! But you have to follow me" he took me to a window on the second floor and opened it. He picked me up and pushed me onto the roof then climbed up himself.
"Remember this brook?" Sam and I looked at the sunset and the ocean in the distance. "Yeah I remember, how could I forget?" I chuckled. "This is where we had our first kiss" I was smiling then added "and where we fell in love." Sam and I laid there watching the sun slowly go down. My stomach rumbled, so did Sam's.
"We should eat sam, I was going to fix some food but then you pulled me up here!" I crossed my arms and pouted. Sam chuckled and kissed me. "It was worth it though." I smiled and sam put me back inside the house through the balcony. He came along with me. He then pulled me to the kitchen. There were decorations and lots of food. It was kinda like the first night I came here. They had prepared a feast. Before I knew it all the brothers jumped out and yelled in unison "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Confetti fell from the ceiling. Sam ran into the kitchen giving high fives to all his brothers. This was all interrupted when someone knocked on the front door. "I'll get it" me and Sam both got it and that's when we saw him. Sebastian, it immediately made me think of that day. When he transported the brothers to our realm. Originally they were Demons but in this world they could be masked into looking like humans. the potion they used really only took away were their horns and Ceremonial markings. Everything else was just them.
"Sebastian?" I nodded for him to come inside, but he refused. All the brothers gathered and protected me from him. Pushing me behind one another. I kept trying to fight my way to the front, they were just to strong for me to push. Sebastian caught drift of what was happening and left before saying anything. I watched his back disappear into the darkness of the night. I then looked down at the door step and saw a gift. "What the hell was that for?!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. They all froze in place. "He's one of my best friends! I don't know about you! But I forgave him a long time ago! I would like to speak with him sometime soon!" I was angry until I noticed what I had said. They all stared as I looked into Sam's eyes for forgiveness but saw nothing.
"Sam! I'm sorry! I'm sorry to all of you! It just came out! Look please I didn't mean it... I'm sure demons forgive others. It's ok if your mad just, please forgive me." I slouched down and walked to the library. "Shit. Shit what am I even thinking! Saying that!" I plopped down onto a small couch. 'I'm such a dumbass'
"No your not you doofus" Sam walked into the room and sat on the chair next to the sofa. " It is both of our faults Brook no one person is to blame." I hid my face in the pillow as he tried comforting me. "Sam what I said was completely rude and I shouldn't have ever said it! I'm to fault for all of it." I wiped my tears off with my sleeve. The room was cold but there seemed to be a radiating warmth coming from Sam. I looked up to see a tear roll down his face "doofus! You made me cry!" He tried to wipe his tears so I couldn't see them but it was to late.
"Sam it's okay" I sat on his lap and kissed his cheek then wiped the tears with a tissue. He stopped crying and wrapped his arms around my back. He leaned his head onto my shoulder making me smile. "Shall we go to bed Sam?" He shook his head and pulled me in tighter. I asked again and again, eventually he said yes. When we got into bed I laid my head on Sam's warm chest. He put his hand on my back and we both fell asleep.
