Ella's P.O.V

Clara was already running laps when I came, this time, I wasn't late. The coach sat at the second row of the bleachers with his feet up. He was still holding the same clipboard from last time and was repeatedly tapping a pencil. I set my bag down and drank some water to quench my thirst, before running.

Looking around, I tried to scan if Anika came. After all, she was the one who reminded me that there was training today. I managed to catch up with Clara, who was listening to music. Tapping her, she turned around and managed a smile.

"You're not late." She teased.

I rolled my eyes. "Hey, where's Anika?"

She shrugged. "She doesn't attend trainings, remember?"

My eyes widened at the statement, although it did sound familiar. It's either she has never told me this, or I just forgot. I'm betting on the latter one. I wouldn't be surprised that people would point out on my forgetful habit, but oh well.

"Have you heard what happened with Ava?" Clara said after a couple minutes.

"Ummm... no?" I said quite confused.

"She caught her boyfriend cheating on her, well she didn't really catch him, must be one of the black market's work." Clara said.

I pretended to be confused. I was a new student, remember? So in order to keep me and this whole thing in a low profile is to be clueless. What they don't know won't hurt them, for now at least. Clara rolled her eyes at the look I gave her and she explained it to me like I was a five year old. Couldn't blame her though, I was like this clueless duck in the middle of the road, well at least, from the looks of what I'm trying to send.

We were dismissed pretty early, probably because the coach had errands to run to. When I got home, Kelly was already black-out on the coach. Again. I couldn't help but chuckle a little, this is what my parents must have felt around me when I was back home. I was the messy kid who needed a taste of reality, and thinking back now, I think I have grown a lot, even if I haven't even finished a week in Rivershore High, a short period of time can cause big things to happen.

. . .

Finally, it's Friday! I remember Fridays were the days when me and my friends hang out. It was when we could sleep late and watch the new movies playing. Especially in Las Vegas, the city was always lit during Fridays.
