I woke up wheezing. Everything was a blur and it took a while for my vision to come to a focus. The throbbing migraine was making it difficult to react; I placed a hand over my forehead and winced, realising it was bandaged. I could hear unfamiliar murmurs echoing from the outside but couldn't quite make out what they meant.

I scanned my surroundings and noticed I was in a hospital — although I didn't know why I was here — and groggily got up. The growing pain on the bottom half of my body made me wince. I attempted to move my hands but the IV drip on my left hand shook, increasing the numbing pain as soon as I did so. I groaned helplessly.

Fortunately, the door flew open just in time and I saw a doctor and a nurse rushing in, followed by two familiar faces. "Dad? Mum?" I croaked. They didn't reply immediately; all they did was embrace me tightly in their arms.

"Sera, you have no idea how glad we are that you're alive! And that y-you remember us! Oh, thank God!" Mum wailed, half-smiling. Dad didn't say much but his red, swollen eyes were enough to express his emotions.

I coughed as they hugged me, which probably cued the nurse to hand me a cup of water. I gulped it in a second. "What happened to me?"

"You got into a car accident. It was a hit-and-run... the police are still investigating on it. The doctor said you have mild amnesia, but... thankfully you still remember us," Dad sighed, his voice shaky and faint, his face pale and weary.

I nodded, the migraine on my head worsening every second. "I'll definitely remember you guys... I just... don't remember what happened before. I don't even remember that accident happening," I frowned at the throbbing headache.

My parents tried to ease my worries. "Sera, focus on recuperating first. Think about these later, please," Dad cooed while pacifying Mum who was still sobbing.

I nodded obediently. I couldn't even bother about the complications of the matter; I just wanted to rest.

"Wait, dear, before we leave," Mum gasped all of a sudden, as if recalling something important. "There's someone who's been dying to see you since forever. He's been waiting in the hospital for five whole days — without sleeping! It'd be rude if we didn't invite him in!"

This caught my attention. "Who?" I asked, although I couldn't wait for this whole greeting thing to end.

My parents urged the person to come in.

The unknown person turned out to be a guy. A guy with a great body... and looks. His tired eyes didn't manage to shield the gorgeous, intriguing hazel colour of it. His evident eye bags, along with his pale face, was enough of a proof that he didn't have enough sleep. Despite that, he was undeniably a stunner. The way he brushed his hand across his coffee-coloured hair anxiously made him look ten times more attractive than he already was. He bit his lip nervously as he cast his gaze on me.

"Who're you?" I smiled politely. Despite this dude being a total hottie, sadly, I had no remembrance of him at all.

His eyebrows furrowed and his sexy lips finally parted in disbelief. He took a few moments to respond. "You.. you don't remember me at all, Sera?" His voice was deep but also quivering.

My parents gasped and excused themselves from the room, urging the doctor and the nurse to leave as well, assumed to be giving the two of us some privacy. Very soon, I was left with this attractive visitor to chat with in this huge room.
