She released the arrow towards her target straight to his heart, he look up to the girl and gave her the books that were scattered because of bumping with each other. He was stunned by her beauty that made his heart beats fast. She picked up another arrow aiming shoot the girl's heart, in 3 2 1 exhale, releasing the arrow. The girl smiled to the guy and that's were their love story started. Psyche get her phone as read the text, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" they were the 3rd couple she made this day. Every day, as Cupid's apprentice, she made approximately a hundred partners. The people seems busy passing right through her. Students opening their books on the side, others were talking with each other, and some doesn't even seem to care.
"It should have been my life right now if I were still a mortal" she thought.
She walk pass through them as if nothing happened. Looking for a place to stay while waiting for the next image to pop up on her phone, she found a tree right across the field. She sat on one of its root and patiently wait for the next couple to shoot.
Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale the fresh air run to her nose and made her relax. She was near to asleep when she heard a tug.
"Oh sh*t"
A book fell right in her front, she look up and found a man sitting on top of the tree. His long hair waves as the wind blows. He jumped off the tree and she got a perfect glimpse of him. The man picked up the book and swept the dirt out of it. He sat on one of the roots and continued reading. Psyche, is still looking at the man, his face, his chinky eyes, down to his pointed nose and his thin lips.
"A perfect work of art" she said.
She was still scanning him when someone shouted.
"Eros! Catch!"
The man catch the ball and throw it back to the guy coming towards them.
"What are you doing alone here man?" the guy said.
"I'm just reading you idiot, unlike you I still cares for my future."
"Tss. future my ass, I already know my future with this ball man." how arrogant, Psyche thought.
"Grow up man." Eros fix his things and stand up.
"Come on lets go, I'm hungry" she watched them walk passed at her.
So that's his name, Eros. Even his name sounds so perfect, she said. She was back to her senses when something beep. She pick up her phone to see the new mission. A girl's image wearing thick glasses popped up her phone. Location: Cafeteria. She stood up and start searching for the new victim of love.
The sweet smell of freshly baked Mac and Cheese welcomed her as she enters the school's cafeteria. Aside from the people silently eating on their seats. A group of guys caught her attention for they are so noisy. Her heart suddenly beats fast when she saw him one of them. She feels butterflies on her stomach and the world seems to stop. He's very manly even when eating, and the way he laughs with them, Uggh heaven feels.
"Get your senses back Psyche, you're here for a mission." a side of her head said.
She then search for the girl and found her on the corner, near the trash bin, eating alone. She took another glimpse of the image on her phone to see she got it right. She took an arrow and prepare to shoot her. In 3 2 1 . . .
The girl was hit on her head, not by her arrow, but with a ball. It was the ball of that arrogant guy. She put down her bow and arrow and went nearer to them.
"Hey nerd, Sorry, though it was you fault for not avoiding the ball." said the arrogant guy.
The nerd girl smiled and get her drinks. She splashed it to the guy's face.
