The first thought that occurred to the young child's mind, when she saw the purple shirt and black hair, was that something was off. She couldn't put her finger on what, but Olivia was sure that something about her father had changed. But what? He had removed the waistcoat. That had to be it. His back was facing Olivia, causing her to think a surprise hug would be the best way to notify her dad of her presence. "Hi, dad!" she exclaimed as she hugged the man's leg tightly. She looked up to see his face turn and stare at her, his face twisted in horror; this was definitely not her father. Instead of stubble, he had a little beard planted on his chin. His hair was purple at the top, and it was short with no trace of a ponytail. She quickly let go of him and stumbled backwards. He, however, stood frozen in place, staring horrified at the little black being with white eyes and teeth; a being that had once been human. He wanted to scream in fear, but no sooner had he finished that train of thought when a fist planted itself on the left side of his face and sent him sprawling to the ground. When his vision returned to normal, he saw the girl hiding behind another person, her appearance now like a normal child with brown hair and a read sweater with a fox head on. He turned his attention to whoever she was hiding behind, said person most likely being the same that had punched him. His eyes met with the raging eyes of a man with black hair in a messy ponytail, a hat placed on top of his head, and a shiny, golden badge that rested on his black waistcoat. His breathing was rapid and heavy, matching the look of fueled hatred on his face.

"Don't. Touch. Her," the man growled. He instantly jumped to his feet, getting a headrush in the process, and started backing off.

"Sorry. Won't happen again, promise," he nervously stammered out, too scared to realize who he was talking to.

"Who is that man, dad?" Olivia asked, looking confusedly up at her angered father.

"Well, m-my name is Michael," the man replied, much to her father's dismay. He stared at them both for a little bit. "And... I think I might be your uncle." With that sentence came another punch, this one almost breaking his nose. Michael dropped to the ground, trembling badly while watching the droplets of blood fall as well. He couldn't process what was happening. Why was his own brother hitting him? He looked up just in time to receive another blow, this one causing his head to collide with the wall.

"Why are you here?!" the man shouted angrily and readied his fist for another attack.

"I found the tape," Michael managed to wheeze out, fighting to stay conscious. He watched as his brother froze in place for a moment before slowly lowering his hand. He let out a sigh of relief, allowing himself to relax. Olivia stood back in horror, hoping her dad had stopped. She was not as scared of violence as she was of her father, when he got too angry. Michael wiped his nose and slowly got to his feet. He tried to smile, but only got a scoff in return. His brother turned to the young child behind them.

"Why don't you go play for a bit and I'll get you later?" he said. Olivia nodded and walked off in the direction of the office.

"Will..." Michael let out a sigh, as the man turned his attention back to him. "Why do you hate me?"

"Because you're a mistake," William hissed. That definitely pulled a string or two, because Michael took a deep breath before slapping his brother hard enough to leave a red mark. Will, however, had no reaction to this. He only stared at Michael, wide eyed. He could feel a stinging pain in his cheek, but he ignored it. Alone the fact that his innocent, angel brother had the courage to hit him had practically numbed him; mentally, at least. He blinked a few times and fixated his stare on Michael.

"What the..."

"What have I ever done to you?!" Michael exclaimed. He said nothing, only stared blankly at his little brother, barely even acknowledging him. Finally, he took a deep breath.
