The next few days passed by pretty uneventfully. It mainly consisted of going on runs, playing guitar (with Xavier occasionally), and going to the self-defence classes then afterwards meeting up with Jasmine. We had become extremely close over the last 3 weeks, and I had to admit her personality was rubbing off on me. I found myself getting more confident, and I had even developed a sense of style. The day after I painted my room, i met up with Jasmine, and decided to try on my new clothes. I put on a white t-shirt, black skinny jeans, black biker boots, and a black leather jacket. The look on Jasmine's face was absolutely priceless ! It was like the look that a mother gets in her eyes when she sees her daughter growing up, and I had to purse my lips together to stop myself from bursting out laughing. I'm sure Jasmine would've made me pay for it later.
Today it was Friday, it was currently 8:00am and I had my jaw open in amazement at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. My eyes have always been mostly blue with a few specks of violet, but now they looked pretty much the completely opposite- Purple with blue specks. And I have to admit, they looked pretty awesome. I Grinned and did my signature happy dance and then took off my jogging clothes and then changed into my self-defence gear, and then walked to the centre. Jasmine was at the reception and suddenly brightened up when she saw me walk in. When I got close enough for her to see me properly, her jaw dropped- similarly to my reaction earlier.
"Dude, your eyeees !" She squealed out. I Laughed and then grinned,
"I Know- they look pretty cool, right ?" I boasted. She narrowed her eyes and pouted slightly,
"Can we switch eyes, pretty please ? I'll try to make sure it doesnt hurt too much when I take your eyes out of your socket." Jasmine said whilst batting her eyelashes. Now if this was was anyone else, I Would be certain that they were joking, but this is Jasmine we're talking about.. I backed away slowly.
"Sorry, but I'm perfectly fine with my eyes. And don't act like you've got some boring eyes, I've always been jealous of your green eyes." I accused.
"Well I Can't say I blame you!" She said whilst mock-flicking her hair." Anyways, Coach Jacksons waiting for you in the gym, and you know that it's not the best idea to keep him waiting."
At her words i quickly hurried my pace and quickly waved at her whilst muttering, "Damn right i do.". Everything Coach Jackson had promised me on the first day i came to the centre was true. He worked me to my fullest ability, and pushed me out of my comfort zone. Everytime I had a session with him, I left with my muscles protesting. You'd think that after about around 14 lessons I'd be used to it, right ? No, wrong. Every session he made the workout even more tough than the last, so My body couldn't get used what this crazy dude was putting it through. I have to admit though, It had made a helluva change on my body. Its made it much more toned than it would be if I just did my daily runs.
I Walked briskly into the gym, and dropped my gym bag in the corner. Just as Jasmine had said Coach Jackson was already there, and he was currently sitting on a chair waiting patiently. I Quickly did my stretches and jogged up to where he was.
"Hey, Coach."
"Hello Ariana, are you ready for your training today ?" Coach asked. He asked me this every lesson, I had a suspicious feeling that it was so that if I ever whined about what he was making me do, he'd just retort 'Well you did say you were ready.'
"Yup.."I said reluctantly. He started off with some basic boxing, to raise my pulse. Then, we stepped into the arena and then he made me practice kickboxing. I had never actually done it in my life, but with my long legs it made it a tiny bit easier. I carried on kickboxing with Coach for another half an hour, and it was already to the point that my legs ached and I could feel sweat dripping down my back. He allowed me to rest for 5 minutes, and then we were back on our feet again.
