Chapter 2

**Chloe's POV**

I was woken by my dad who was gently shaking me. "Chloe" "Chloe!" I fluttered my eyes open and noticed I was still in the car. I hopped out and looked up at the house. It had 3 floors if you included the attic, two bedrooms and a bathroom. I know it doesn't sound that big but inside its really spacious, and so are the rooms. There was also a huge garden at the back which leads off in to the woods. I went to go and help my dad with my bags. I followed him into the house and we took all my stuff upstairs. I left it all in my room to go and inspect the rest of the house. The living room was big, with cream walls and a brown 'L' shaped sofa positioned in front of the flat screen TV on the wall. Across the hall was the kitchen. It was blue and white with a door that lead out to the yard where dad kept all of his tools and stuff. The kitchen wasn't as big as the living room but it lead off to the dining room which had a 6 seater oak wood table. " it seems like ages when you where last here" I turned around to see my dad stood in the doorway. "I know. It's good to be back though." I smiled at him and went to my room. It was quite big with baby pink walls and a huge window which looked out over the road and into the woods on the other side. Dad lived on the edge of town (hence the woods) but I didn't mind because it was quiet. I began to unpack some of my stuff. As I was unpacking I came across a photo album which I don't recall ever seeing before. I opened it up on the first page to find a handwritten note why read

'Chloe. Don't forget about us. Just some stuff to remember us by. Will miss you loads Amy xxx P.s Danny helped :) ‘

I turned the page to see a photo of me, Amy, Danny and Josh sat on the school field. Me and Amy were sandwiched between the two boys whilst smiling goofily at the camera. I looked through the rest of the book seeing all the photos. A huge smile spread across my face and a tear came to my eye as I remembered all the happy moments. I set the book on my bed and continued unpacking all my things. About an hour later dad called me down for dinner. I walked down the stairs and into the dining room to find dad setting me a plate of fried chicken, potatoes and salad on the table. I sat down and began to eat. It was nice to have a good catch up conversation with my dad. "Seen as you don't start school until Monday and I have tomorrow off work, I thought we could go over and see Bobby and Sherry. They were so exited when I told em you were coming back.” Dad said before shoveling another forkful of food into his mouth. " yeah that sounds great" I smiled and carried my plate into the kitchen. I set it down on the side and poured myself a glass of apple juice. I sipped on the juice and aimlessly stared out of the window thinking of the last time I saw Sherry.

-Flashback-

It was near the end of December, just after Christmas. We were about 13 years old. Me and Sherry sat on the freezing cold bench admiring the snowman we just built. Sherry stood up and dragged me to a tree at the bottom of her garden. We climbed it, sitting on a thick branch near the top. We sat there and talked for quite a while. I told her about Amy and that I had noticed Danny (who was the new kid at the time) smiling at me, whilst his friends giggled at him. She told me about how she had heard Zach saying how much he would miss me. Zach was one of my best friends whenever I was here. He was slightly taller than me and had browny blonde hair which flicked down the sides of his face. Sherry always used to tease him because she thought he liked me. I always used to shrug it off though. Sure, he was cute but I knew I would be going back to Ashford any time soon. We carried on talking whilst watching the sun set over the snow topped hills, until we heard the frantic voices of our dads below. We climbed out of the tree and faced them. They said they didn't know where we were and hadn't seen us for an hour. They got over it and lead us inside to watch a movie.

-End of flashback-

"Chloe!" Dad said, snapping me out of my daydream, chuckling at me. We went to go and watch the football on the flat screen. It eventually got late so I went to bed. I put my pajamas on and snuggled in to my new, rather comfy, bed and quickly fell asleep.
