Chapter Seventeen

What's up with Ratchet?

I ran to the med bay, nearly tripping on my own two feet.

"Whoa! Slow down!", Jack called out as I ran past him.

I made a sharp right and entered the med bay. I smiled when I seen Optimus sitting up on the berth.

"Your alive!", I smile.

"Yes, I am.", Optimus smiled.

"I'm so happy. I thought you died.", I felt a few tears slide down my face.

Optimus knelt down after getting off the berth and wiped my tears. He smiled softly at me and I hugged him. We stayed curled up for a while....at least until Ratchet came in to do some tests. I left and went straight to Soundwave's room.

"Anna, what is it?", Soundwave asked.

"I was just wondering... is there a way for me to return to my original self? Like,  the way I was born?", I asked.

"Yes. It will take days, maybe even months.", Soundwave said, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Yes, I am. I want to surprise sire on his creation day.", I smiled, "Its the least I could do. Don't worry though, Sounders, I will always love you."

Little did I know that someone had overheard me talking......

"I love you too, Anna. We still have our bond. I believe that our bond was meant to be a sibling bond, not a parental bond.", Soundwave smiled.

"I'm glad you understand.", I smiled, "I'm going to see if Ratchet needs any help with something. I'm ready to start whenever you are, Sounders."

I left the room and walked towards the lab where Ratchet was no doubt hiding since he has no patients and the main computer is being hogged. I walked inside and, sure enough, Ratchet was standing there.

Odd. I walked in further and seen Ratchet staring off into space. I was very surprised to see a tear fall from his faceplate.

"Ratchet, you okay?", I asked and his head snapped over towards me.

"Yes, yes. I'm fine. I need to go uh grab something.", Ratchet left, leaving me to my thoughts.

'What's going in? He seems like he's sinking in a hole or something.', I thought to myself.

::Anna, I have everything for the procedure. The thing is though, you have a lot of reading to do and I mean a lot. It's going to take you a a month or two to read through it all.:: Soundwave's voice came through my com link.

::M'kay. I better get started then if I am going to surprise him.:: my computer beeped and I went into my backpack.

I pulled out my laptop and opened it up. After logging in, I went to the file Soundwave sent me and my eyes widened.

"8 thousand pages long?!", I yelled as Soundwave walked in.

"Oops, wrong file.", Soundwave laughed.

"Soundwave!", I laughed and jumped on him.

He sent me the right file and I put the first file that was sent to me in a folder titled 'Soundwave's pranks'. My computer beeped again and I frowned. The file was from an unknown source. I cautiously opened the file and gasped.

TOP SECRET

If you are reading this file, than I have finally reached you, JetBlaze. My designation is Ultra Magnus. I have been asked to lead a group of officers to find you. I am the second in command to the Autobots. We have been working day and night to find you for your creators. It's been two months since you went missing. If you could send a file back with any information about your whereabouts, we can come find you. As soon as you respond to this message, the file will automatically come back to me. I look forward to reuniting you with your creators. 

Your reply:

I re-read the letter over and over again. This was from two months after I went missing. It's been several years now. Is this guy even still alive? I hadn't realized that I started crying until I felt something wet hit my hand.

"Anna?", I looked up at Soundwave's holoform and ran towards him.

I hugged him and felt his arms slowly wrap around me. He comforted me until I fell asleep in his arms. Soundwave picked me up and set me on my bed in my room. My laptop automatically turned off.

Only one question was still in my mind. What was wrong with Ratchet?
