" Y/N"
Sam shakes my shoulder ,abruptly awaking my aching body from its comatose sleep,
"Mhm"
" I need you to get dressed and go in for Arlene, she can't get a babysitter out"
I let out deep growl, my body was aching and bruised all over after being attacked by another dog last night when I was out for a run.

Still, I need to keep my job. Sam Merlotte may be my dad, but there ain't shit on him firing me if I fall outta line.

I dragged myself out of bed as Sam went into the kitchen to cook me breakfast. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror beside my bed, my body was covered in scars and bruises of black and blue. I fumbled about my floor for my Work shirt and threw it on quickly with a pair of black leggings and quickly tied the laces of my black all stars that Sam bought me when he took me on.

Sam was busy making hoecakes in bacon grease as I walked in the door. He looked up to notice the bruises and cuts on my arms from last nights secret run.

My futile attempt to clear my head of all the shit that's been going on with running away because of being ruthlessly pursued by your abusive bitch of a mother who thought hybrids were ' a shame to the supernatural society'

Aka me.

" Holy shit, do you wanna tell me who the fuck did this to you?"

" Don't know and I don't want to talk about it right now Sam"

I really can't talk about it right now, after all Sam doesn't know the half story of my shit yet, he doesn't even know I'm a hybrid for all he knows.

"Y/N, you ain't leaving until you tell me why you look like hell!"

" I got in fight with this stray mastiff"

" I thought you told me you would stay inside last night!"

He slammed the hoecakes on the table in frustration, his pale blue eyes filled with anger and concern,

" I went for a run it's not a big deal I can fucking run if I want"

" You could have told me, I would've gone with you!"

" Well I didn't want you to!"

I grabbed my apron and stormed out the door, slamming it behind me.

I strode across the parking lot to the bar in fury and burst in the door. Lafayette chuckled and raised his well carved eyebrows at my rather dramatic entrance,

"Sugar the fuck is going on?"
Nothing gets past Lafayette without him knowing about it,

" Sam and I had an argument, that's all."

"Over what exactly?"

I wanted to tell him. To let the crushing truth flow out like a shit storm. Lafayette would understand.

But I said the same thing about my mother when I first turned, and I have the scars I endured to learn to keep my mouth shut.

" Woke me up rudely,"

Shitty excuse on my behalf because Sam actually was going to let me off today before Arlene called in.

"Like hell he did, just fucking tell me,"
