So many projects So little time. Sorry for no updates. I have 3 projects due tomorrow. A chapter will be out soon tho. (Update) here's my narrative write. I personally think it's horrible.
The airport was packed and to Chase it was beyond belief that this many people were traveling today. With all the stress of work he wanted to relax. In the end he had chose to take a vacation. He choose to take a vacation because he hadn't gone anywhere that wasn't in Belgium since he moved. And today was the day he was going. He had no friends to go with him nor family. He slipped through the crowds to get to the baggage check. While waiting to move forward he looked around. This was his first time in an airport since his family moved to Belgium. The airport was way different when he moved but that was quite a while ago. He had lived here in Belgium since he was seven and he is currently 23. When he was 19 he went through college and got a 2 year degree. After that he got his first job.
After going through all the scanning and such he sat down for a while until his plane was called so he can board. Through the long lines into the near-full plane going to switzerland he got in. He decided to go to Russia to see the rest of his family there. Tucking away his hand baggage he decided to try to get some rest. While that was near impossible with all the seat kicking and screaming for young children, He managed to pull in about 5 minutes of sleep. He was pretty ticked after having the very few minutes of sleep as he spent the whole morning packing. What woke him up was the safety announcement being played to everyone. He played all of his attention to it. When they showed what to do in case of an emergency like the plane crashing, he wondered if it will happen on this flight. He shook that disastrous thought out of his head and tried to think of something peaceful. He had a fear of falling for almost his whole life.
The plane roared to life and lifted into the air. Chase tensed up to this un-known factor to him. He took a piece of gum he had and started to chew on it. He had read somewhere online that it would help with his ear popping. He started chewing on it and closed his eyes. He finally opened his eyes after a few minutes and relaxed in his seat as the turbulence was gone for now. He brought a few books with him to read during the flight. The flight time was a total of 3 hours. They weren't very long books but he liked them. They took up around 30 flight time minutes when he finally went to sleep as he has been up for almost more than a day. A few minutes after he went to sleep the plane got some turbulence. It went calm again until the engines died out. The plane was quickly falling to it's death.
The flight attendants came around the plane and informing everyone on the plane that was sleeping. The pilot informed the awake by using the pa system. But no one bothered to wake up Chase. He was there asleep with his books on his food tray and his baggage above him in the compartment. It was obvious that he was sleeping yet everyone was oblivious to him. One lady came around telling people that the engines have died but skipped Chase. The plane didn't land on the ground, Right when it hit the ground it caused a mini explosion in the plane. This still didn't wake Chase up. People were screaming and the pilot tried to keep things under control, but failed miserably. People charged over each other trying to escape. A few hours later chase woke up to an intense heat pressuring him. His eyes fluttered open and he was in pure surprise. A fury of fire was in half of the plane and not a single person in sight. The windows were cracked and the fire was growing fast. Chase bolted out of his seat and scavenged for food before rushing to an emergency exit door at the back of the plane.
Once he emerged through the exit door he looked at his surroundings. A grassy area with a few hills and mountains. He decided to stay somewhere near the plane so in case anyone comes towards the wreckage that could help him they could get him out of this mess. Honestly to him this was worse than anything horrible he could imagine. Thousands of dollars wasted on this to happen. He started to look for anything he could turn into a shelter that was near the plane. He didn't want to lose sight of the plane so he turned to look back for the plane in his sight. When he was coming back to the plane after finding nothing for shelter he saw a brush of trees that could be used for shelter.
He wandered through the trees to try to find a good place to stay. He found a small pond in the brush and decided to collect fallen wood near it so he could have a shelter near water. He gathered up the wood he needed and built a small shelter leaning against a tree. He told himself to save the food he had scavenged until he desperately needed it. Yet a few minutes after he built the shelter he had already broken that rule. He felt in need of a snack yet he promised himself not to eat until he needed to. He had food hours ago and wanted food and his urges beat him so he had a snack. All it was was a bag of nuts.
He had lived the same way; sleep, wake up, water, small amounts of food every noon, water, sleep. That changed when he heard a loud noise. It sounded like an engine so he bursted out of the forest towards the downed plane. A helicopter hovered around the plane then started searching the perimeter for possible survivors. Chase was sprinting and waving his arms like he was a mad person. His hopes soared when the heli started coming over towards his area. He started yelling even if it would be impossible for them to hear him over the engines.
Unfortunately for him the pilots never saw him. He seemed almost physically invisible to everyone but the people who knew him. His family and friends were devastated to hear that the plane crashed but they felt even worse when they realized he was dead. He had ran out of food and died of hunger. Water couldn't fully support him and keep him healthy so he had passed in the woods on his 27th day after surviving.
