I don't have the nerve to tell David. He can't know how I actually feel. No one knows this secret. After lunch I had math. The last period, and the one I hate most. I can hear David walking closer to me, "Hey? What's up? You're never like this." I think for a second about what I should say back. "Nothing, I think I'm just tired!" I saw while forcing a fake smile. "Okay... oh yeah! Today after school I'm inviting Jacob and Mat over to my house for a sleepover, wanna come?" "Uhh.. sure."
In math I was lucky not to be called on. I didn't understand the material, so I got lucky.
As I walked to my locker I bumped into a girl named Angela, which all my friends ship me with. "Hey guys! Cola is back together!" Uhg.. why at this moment David is there? Angela and I slowly and awkwardly walked away from each other. David walked up to my locker with his "squad."
"I think she likes you." "Why do you say that?" "Well.. watch her friends after she walks away from you, also look at the face she gives you."
I close my locker and go to the band room to pick up my instrument.
On my way to my bus I saw her again. This time I did look at her face and her friends. She (like David said) had a flirty face. I'm not used to that face.
David sat next to me. "So come over around four." David said. "Okay, I will." My voice cracked. As I looked at the window, I slightly blushed.
