"Welcoming your Calgary Flames, and the first ever female NHL player, my daughter, Kelsey Hrudley!" Announcer Kelly Hrudley spoke, getting the crowed hyped.

-

I skated on the ice, leading my male team mates. This was my first NHL game, I was making history, and making things possible for young girls. The cheers of the crowd were amazing, like the roar of a thousand lions, except the lions were our fans, ready to cheer us on.

-

The game was tied up against the Boston Bruins at 4-4 as we headed into overtime. The coach sent my line on, it was me, Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk and Dougie Hamilton.

Sean passed the puck to me, I saw an opening in the players that I could race through and potentially score the game winning goal, we set up and I flew threw the players and slapped the puck into the net.

The crowd all jumped to their feet at once, screaming, the buzzers went off, music started to play, I was smiling as I celebrated and waited for my team mates to come celebrate with me.

I felt myself fly into the boards, like I weighed nothing.

Ryan Getzlaf flew into me, with all of his body weight, out of rage. My ears were ringing and I was in so much pain, hunched over on the ice. I heard boo's and people getting angry, and I looked around, trying to come to my senses. It all happened so fast, my entire team skated onto the ice, everyone was fighting.

A lot of Getzlaf's team mates stayed out of it, because they didn't agree with it, but the ones who didn't care were fighting with my team.

I was there on the ice, on my hands and knees, trying to comprehend what was going on. I knew I was injured, the entire left side of my body was in pain.

When the fight was finally broken up a lot of my team mates were bloodied and bruised but so were Getzlaf and his team mates. Before I knew it the trainer was helping me off the ice, with my team following directly behind me, and the crowd cheering our names.

I limped into the locker room to get changed, when I walked in, my team mates erupted with cheers.

"Hrudley! Hrudley! Hrudley! Woo! Woo! Woo!" They were clapping and smiling

I was still knocked out of my senses somewhat, I was dazed, but I knew what had happened anyways.

After chatting with some of the guys, like Dougie and Johnny, who both had bloody noses from the fight, I made my way to the showers. I knew I should technically be getting looked at by our athletic trainer but with all that stress, I just needed a relaxing shower, however I was really happy we won the game, even if it was kind of at my expense.

I walked back into the locker room with a pair of lulu lemon shorts and Calgary Flames hoodie that I cut the bottom half off of so it was cropped, and a pair of black Nike NMD's.

Sean Monahan was the only guy left in the locker room, I assumed he was waiting there for me, since he seemed like he wasn't doing anything.

"Hey Sean!" I waved happily at him with my right arm, trying to favour the left side of my body, because I was just about to make my way to the trainers room

"Hey Kelsey, are you okay?" He looked up at me from what he was doing and I noticed he had a cut lip and a black eye

"Oh my god, are you okay Sean? I'm heading to the trainer now but your face! You're hurt!" I sat down beside him

"Oh yeah," he laughed, "I'm okay, I socked Getzlaf right in the nose so it's all worth it." He smiled at me

"Wow, Mr. Peaceful got into the action?" I joked

"Hey! Sometimes I need a good fight, and I'd only ever do that for you or Johnny anyways, fighting isn't really my style but what he did wasn't cool." Sean looked angry at the thought of what happened to me.

I just laughed at him

"I was just on my way to the trainers room, but I'll text you after?" I asked, limping to the door

"Can I help you down there?" He asked sympathetically

I smiled at Sean, agreeing to his offer and he walked by my side down there.

"I would offer to let you put your arm around my shoulder for support but I've got at least a foot on you." He laughed

"Yeah I'm 5'1'', you're what? 6'3"?" I asked him

"I am, wow you're tiny hey, but quick, and you handle the puck like a champ!" He exclaimed as we walked into the trainers room

"Thanks Sean, you're not too bad yourself." I smiled and he sat down on one of the benches and I laid on the other.

"I'm going to check for a concussion first and then take it from there." Our trainer said

He did some sort of eye test on me and asked me questions that I guess would lead him to decide whether I had a concussion or not.

"No concussion, but I would recommend getting some rest instead of going out with the boys partying." The trainer joked
"What else is hurting?" He asked

"Well, my left side, my shoulder and wrist, and my ribs and hip mostly." I said, wincing as he applied pressure to all of those places

He went through some different tests this time, applying pressure, checking my range of movement, asking how much everything hurt, etc. It was a process. Sean was sitting there patiently admiring the intricacy of it and the preciseness this trainer took to make sure the players were all healthy.

"Kelsey, I have to say, you're pretty lucky, it seems like just minor tissue injuries, you should be back on the ice within a week or two."

"A week or two!?" I exclaimed

"You're going to need time to heal, you can lightly practice and still attend games but you're not allowed to play for at least 8 days." The trainer said firmly

I looked over at Sean with absolute disappointment in my eyes, and he didn't look absolutely happy either. I hopped off the trainers bench and Sean followed me out of the room where I started to complain.

"Sean! I can't play for 8 days? Are you kidding me? It's so unfair, the goal was in, I earned that goal, WE earned that goal, we earned the win, why did he have to take it out on me? It's not my fault he plays for a shitty te-" Sean clamped his hand over my mouth

"Hey, it's okay, you can still practice with us, 8 days will fly by fast! Before you know it you'll be back on the ic-" he stopped suddenly and burst into laughter at my poor attempt to clamp my hand over his mouth, of course, I was far too short.

He slowly removed his hand from my mouth and admired my features.

"Take a picture Sean it'll last longer!" I joked

He smiled as he slowly leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on my lips.

"For assurance that you'll heal fast." He said with certainty

I felt my face turn rosy red and I giggled a little, looking at is busted lip again, thinking about how much sexier it truly made him, drooling in my mind about Sean.

Before I knew it, his body weight was being gently pushed into mine, he was kissing my lips and my neck, before pulling away.

"Come over to my house?" He asked, winking at me

"Wouldn't pass the opportunity up for anything." I said smoothly

And Sean scooped me up off my feet and walked me out to his truck, and we headed to Sean's house, butterflies dancing all around in my stomach, but letting my mind wander the endless situations we could find ourself in as soon as we walked through his bedroom door.
