My name is Beven, Bev for short, I don't really think I have a purpose in life but everyone thinks I do. By 'everyone' I mean family, The ones who are forced to be nice to me.... Lucky for me we're moving and I'll have to leave the only town I've known, and the only friend I've ever had.
DAY OF THE MOVE~
My best friend and I stood there hugging and crying our eyes out as my parents packed all our stuff in to a big truck.
"Just a few more boxes!" My Uncle yelled from an open up stairs window. I can't believe my family is making me move all the way to Melbourne, Australia and Leave behind my best friend and my life here in Miami, Florida.
"It's going to be weird waking up in the morning and know your not waking up in the house right beside mine....but waking up thousands of miles away..."
"I know how you feel Lilly....I don't want to go but I have too."
"What am I suppose to tell people next week when the school year starts....."
"I don't know...How bout you try the truth...."
"I CAN'T START MY SENIOR YEAR WITHOUT YOU BEV! I REALLY CAN'T!!!"
"LILLY HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL!!! AT LEAST YOU KNOW PEOPLE AT YOUR SCHOOL!! I WONT EVEN KNOW A SINGLE PERSON!!!" Lilly an I broke down into tears...holding each other tight...We've known each other since we were five so we have never had to say 'goodbye' before...
"Beven Lynn, come on. We have to go. We have a long ride to Melbourne...." My mother yelled from the car, the back door was open for me to get in. I hugged Lilly one last time and got in the car and watched Lilly wave as we drove away. It really broke my heart.
IN MELBOURNE~
We arrived in Melbourne around eleven pm....we didn't unpack anything, and we already had out beds here in the house. After we got in the house I have to admit the house is nice but I miss my old house. The house that was right next door to my best friend....
It was the next morning, I guess I slept a little late because by the time I woke up half the house was already unpacked. I walked down stairs, Still in my pj's. Which was a pair of shorts and a crop top...
I waddled down the stairs, counting every step because I weird like that....When I got to the kitchen Mom was having lunch with one of our new neighbors. She seemed nice minus the dirty look she was giving me for what I was wearing....
"Hey mom sorry I slept so late...I just woke up." I said as I kissed her cheek. "So who's this?"
"This is Angie, she lives next door." My mother said with a smile on her face.
"Hi, I'm Bev." I greeted sicking out my hand. She shook my hand back.
"Beautiful name, I love the sound of it."
"My full name Is Beven."
"Ahh, yes. I knew is sounded familiar, I used to have a friend named Beven when I was young."
"That's so cool....." I got up off the chair I was sitting on and went up to my room to change and unpack all my things.
WEEK LATER~
"Bev honey, Get up....You going to be late for your first day of school..."
"Mom...I'm up..." I crawled out of bed and walked to my closet. I put on Some white skinny jeans with a pink top, and white lace flats. I grabbed my bag and waited in the car for my mom to come out.
My mom dropped me off at school near the front. I got out and walked towards the front doors. As I was walking I saw people gathering and talking catching up over there summer vacations, people were already holding hands and making out against lockers. I got to the main office and asked for my schedule and locker number. I walked down the hall way towards my locker, as I put my stuff in I saw a boy looking at me from the other side, one of what seemed to be his brother, kept talking on and on about complete rubbish...
The bell rang for fist period so I hurried own the hallway, I was going to be late for sure....When I entered the room everyone stopped an starred right at me...I can't have people starring a me...I really can't.
"Class this is our new student Beven Jones...." I saw guys checking me out, and girls judging me by the I was dressed. "Beven, take a seat next to Mr. Brooks there in the back."
she pointed to a boy who had tattoos up one of his arms and a double lip piercing in...That's the one who was starring at me in the hall...
Time flew by so fast and before I knew it, It was lunch. I didn't feel like eating, I just walked in to the giant cafeteria, It was anarchy......
I stood in the back so I wasn't in anyone's way. I watched people basically go crazy..... I jumped whe I felt someone grab my arm.
"Chill..." He said with a giggle. He was quit adorable. "Hey, erm..why haven't I seen you before?"
"Oh I just moved her from Miami.."
"That cool...Have you seen the town yet?"
"Not really...I've been unpacking. I didn't really have time..."
"Well can I show you around after school?"
"That would be great."
"Cool....I've gotta go find my brothers...and My best friends...ha.." He seemed so shy...I liked it...he was different.
Time flew by so fast....Before I knew It school was over....I headed to my locker and got my bag as I looked down I felt someone shut my locker and grab my hand.
"We've got to go now!"
'What?"
"I'll explain later." I was being pulled across the school parking lot....Yet I still don't know His name...
