"This is a great deal. You get a whole lot of money every month and all you have to do is protect Charlie. And from what I know, you need money. So, it's a win-win situation." Mr. Ross said with a smug smirk. It took everything in me to not kick him in the balls and run away with the suitcase which had a million dollars.

I took in a deep breath. He was right. I was desperate for money. My mother suffering from cancer and my father committed suicide because of the debts he had lined up and were weighing him down. He was an asshole anyway. He wasted the money which was saved for my college in drugs. I hated him for that. So, I guess he got what he deserved.

Mr. Ross cleared his throat and brought me to reality. I sighed. "Fine. I'll do what you say." I told him hesitantly. I didn't know how this was going to work out.

This was my first client after my training. So I was pretty nervous. I took in a deep breath and signed the contract.

"This is every detail you need to know about Charlie. Make sure you read this and most importantly, you need to keep yourself low-key and don't let Charlie get to know that you're hired to protect him from all the danger. He wouldn't like that and trust me, you don't wanna see Charlie angry." Mr. Ross told me. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. If he was a big bad wolf why couldn't he just protect himself?

"I know what you're thinking. From my description of Charlie, you must think that he's well qualified to defend and protect himself but that's the thing. He doesn't understand his own value and how important he is. He simply doesn't care. And that's why I hired someone who would kill and be killed in order to protect Charlie." He explained. I nodded silently.

"You start work from tomorrow. This is his college schedule and yours is this. So, you know what to do. Be low-key, be friends with him, don't let him find out and just protect him." He told me before turning around and walking away. My eyes flashed toward the suitcase which held a million dollars. I smiled in satisfaction. I quickly pulled it toward me and with a click I opened it.

I held in a gasp as I saw the money beautiful stashed. I couldn't believe it. This much amount of money would be enough for me to pay my mother's treatments, donate at the children's shelter and buy myself a mansion. With a gleeful laugh I quickly closed it and kept the suitcase in my cupboard.

As I was walking past my study desk, I noticed my and Charlie's university schedule kept. I bit my lip to contain my smile. I was going to university. University. I was a pretty darn good student back in high school and I knew I could get into any university but all my dreams were crushed when I realised my whole family was broke because of my good for nothing father.

I shook my head. I was a new person from tomorrow. I had everything planned. Name? Ashley Newman. Favour colour? Black and white. Parents? Live in the other side of the world. Favourite food? Spaghetti.

Mr. Ross even got professional designers to give my wardrobe a makeover even though I told him I was perfectly satisfied with my clothes but he said and I quote, "But I am not. You are going to attend one of the most prestigious colleges existing on earth. You would attend the same school as heirs and heiress of multinational companies. So you have to look like you belong."

My phone beeped, notifying that I had received a message. I quickly checked it and saw it was Mr. Ross telling me that I had to go to his private salon for an appearance makeover. My eyes widened. They wanted me to change myself completely.

I groaned.

You've gotta be kidding me.

With a shake of my head, I quickly responded his text by saying an 'ok.' and I hurriedly got ready before walking outside my house and quickly got into the taxi which was waiting for me outside.
