Chapter 6:Grocery

As Simon thinks that he is already having a nice sleep at 5:00 in the morning after a sleepless night,he was awaken by Nishiki after an hour.

"Hey Simon,wake up! It's already 6:00 AM!" Nishiki yelled to Simon

"What's the up with the hustle?" Simon asked to Nishiki

"Because we're the ones who will be buying grocery for today. So get up and prepare yourself." He replied

Even if Simon is still sleepy,he does what Nishiki said him to do.

He gets up and out of the bed and prepares himself to go outside.

"So,are you now ready to go out?" Nishiki asked to Simon

Simon replied;"Yeah,I'm ready" before yawning

Both Simon and Nishiki then leaves the orphanage to go buy some groceries in the grocery store that's in the city.

After walking on the dirt road,they arrive at the road that leads back to the city.

They then walks their way back to the city.

"How long does this walk take until we arrive to the city?" A sleepy Simon asked to Nishiki.

"I don't exactly know how long. Maybe an hour if we walk by foot." Nishiki answered

This makes Simon to say; "Ain't that's just great!An hour-long walk!"

While walking on the road,the two notices that a car is approaching their way.

The car is a white Dodge Charger with tinted windshields which makes Simon to identify that the car belongs to Detective Ash.

The car stops right beside the two and the windshield on the door of the driver's seat opens up to show that it was indeed Ash who's driving the car.

"Let me guess,both of you need a ride back to Union City. Don't you?" Ash questioned to the two.

"Yes,that might be the case right now." Simon replied.

"If that so,then hop in the car." Ash said to Simon and Nishiki.

Simon and Nishiki gets into the backseat of Ash's car. And after that,Ash quickly turns his car around and drive back to the city.

"What brings you to go there,Ash?" Nishiki asked to Ash

"The mother of the guy you're with,Simon,asks me if I can keep an eye on him..." Before Ash can continue what he's saying,Simon then says;

"Let me guess what you answered,you said yes."

"Yeah,that's what I answered." Ash said to Simon.

While driving their way to the city,Ash questions the two;

"So,where's your destination?"

"To Hoover's Grocery Store,Ash." Nishiki replied.

Simon looks outside through the car's window and comments about the what he's seeing.

"You know,back in our house in Kirkville,there was only a few trees in the area. But here,outside the area of the city,there are plenty of plants and trees that I haven't seen back in my hometown."

A voice replies to what Simon just said but it wasn't Ash's nor Nishiki's voice.

"Yeah,the trees and plants surely provides fresh air to breath in."

Simon looks in front of the car to see that Misao is sitting on the seat that's beside the driver's seat.

"Don't even think of having a conversation with me while you're in a car with other people. They'll think that you're crazy." Misao said to Simon before he can even say a word.

"I'm just here to tell you that you're gonna meet a very special person on your way back to the orphanage."

Misao again suddenly vanishes out of sight and after a few minutes,the car finally reached the grocery store.

Simon and Nishiki then exits Ash's car.

"Before I leave,I just wanted to tell you that I can't drive you two back to the orphanage because I have a meeting to attend at the police station." Said by Ash before he drives off.

The two enters the grocery store that has just opened,making them the store's earliest costumers.

"What are we buying for today,Nishiki?" Simon asked to Nishiki

"Well,the orphanage is low on cereal and is already out of milk. So,those are what we're gonna buy." He replied.

"How many are we gonna buy,then?" Simon again asked.

"As many as how many the money they gave me can buy." Nishiki replied followed by him showing the amount of money that he has.

The two then goes around the grocery store,picking up the things that they need to buy before they go to the cashier to pay the groceries that they purchased.

There,they meet the grocery's cashier and owner,David Hoover.

"Hey,Nishiki what's up?" David greeted Nishiki.

"Everything's fine." Nishiki replied.

"Who's the guy you're with? A friend?" David asked Nishiki.

"It's kinda like that but he's actually my roommate in the orphanage." Nishiki answered.

"Oh,so that explains why I can't seem to know who is he." David then turns his face from Nishiki to Simon.

He then asked;"What's your name and where are you from?"

"I'm Henriksson,Simon Henriksson. And I'm from Sweden."

"Nice meeting you,Simon." David then shakes hands with Simon.

"We're going to buy this many cereals and milk because the orphanage is running low on them." Nishiki said.

"Because my grocery store have a new costumer and he's your new roommate,I'll give you 50 percent discount to all of those groceries that you purchased."

Nishiki then gives the money that he have to David to pay the groceries that they purchased and still receive a change.

"Hey,thanks man." Nishiki said to David before he and Simon exits the grocery store while carrying their purchased groceries.

Simon's carrying the plastic bag full of cereal while Nishiki is carrying the one full of packed milk.

The two then proceeds to walk their way back to the orphanage which is going to be a very long walk without a vehicle.
