We ran, faster and faster. Trying to run from the guards. No, weweren't stealing anything, we were running because if they caught oneof us, they caught us all. If we were cought, these guards would takeus to the queen's head quarters, and whoever was caught, was put intothe Race to Freedom. What was the Race to Freedom? It was a race tofind clues and when you found clues, find the exit. It doesn't soundbad until you realize that you have no weapons, and the guards wereput in there to track you down. If you were tracked down, you wouldbe put into a prison.

We ran, but we were losing energy. One of the girls in theLeague of Rougues, Lillia, tripped on a tree root and fell, No!I screamed in my head.

"Keep running!" Rowan shouted. Lillia was thefastest runner in the League of Rougues. She quickly cought up to usagain. I suddenly felt my arm being grabbed and looked behind me. Aguard caught me! Another guard grabbed my other arm and the draggedme away. I watched my friends being dragged away one by one. I wasthe first caught, I had to face being thrown into the Race toFreedom. My teammates had to face interrogation so in the futureyoung children had something "interesting" to learn about.I would much rather face being asked questions than facing the Raceto Freedom. I panicked. As I tried to escape the grip of the twoguards, their grips only grew tighter. Finally we got to a truck. Theguards cuffed my hands, put a sack over my head, tied my feettogether, and threw me into the back. I was thrown so hard that I wasknocked unconcious.

I woke up on a cot, in a cell, with my hands chained tothe ground. It was difficult but I was able to get myself off the cotto look around the cell. Four other girls were fettered to theground. I tried to walk over to one to awake them and ask where I wasbut the chains kept me back. Suddenly, I heard footsteps. They gotcloser and closer. Until finally, a woman with wavy auburn hair andglistening green eyes stepped up to my cell. I recognized her. Shewas Queen Erulia Bonsnee.

"H-Hello your majesty, I am-"

"Astrid Von Gloon, age fourteen, from the League ofRougues. Yes, I know who you are," I was stunned.

How does the queen know who I am?

"I know who everyone is, dear," I was again, stunned. "Follow me Astrid,"
