Bugged out (Miraculous Ladybug x Cat Noir)

Chapter Five

I decided to re-do Chapter Five of this story because the last one sucked lmao

"Alya, could you give us a moment?" He asked. Alya nodded quickly and went to her door, looking over her shoulder. Then she left. 

A chill ran down Marinette's spine, slowly, causing her to curl into ball. She hugged her knees and looked at him. 

"Alright.." She said as calmly as possible. Cat Noir grabbed Alya's chair, sitting down. He looked at her and sighed. He went over what he promised himself he would say and spoke slowly.

"Marinette.. can I see your earrings?"

Marinette blinked and reached her hand up and touched her earrings. "W-Why?" 

Cat Noir inched closed. "Can I see your earrings?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. Marinette swallowed hard and began to slowly shake her head. 

"Not until you give me a good reason." She said. He began to get impatient. The little kwami in Marinette's handbag began to stir, anxious to see what she would do. Out of the blue, Marinette stood up and backed away. 

"Sorry, Cat Noir, but no can do." The hero said and held her bag close, having noticed that her little friend was getting nervous. Noir looked at her and stood. Marinette took action and bolted to the window of her friends room.

"Ladybug, wait!" 

Marinette stopped in her tracks, eyes wide and mouth agape.

"W-What did you just call me?" She whispered, not looking back.

Cat Noir took a step closer. "Ladybug."

Marinette turned quickly. "You must be out of your mind! Ladybug is way cooler than me and-and there is no way I could possibly be as epic as she is!" She blurted out. Her rambling continued, leaving her unaware than her partner was stepping closer every word. Two gloved hands grabbed her face, turning her head. Marinette quickly looked up at him. A smile was on his face.

"Your miraculous'" Cat Noir smiled. Ladybug grabbed his wrists, throwing them away. 

"That doesn't mean anything! We could have the same earrings!" The poor girl continued to defend herself, knowing that she had already failed at doing so. 

Green smoke rose from the ground, surrounding the hero in front of her and the next thing she saw made her freeze.

"Adrien!?" She wheezed. Adrien stood in front of her, trying not to show any signs of nervousness. He continued on smiling. 

The two heroes stared at each other. Everything that had just happened was trying to be processed. Again, out of the blue, Marinette began to laugh. Adrien quickly got confused but seeing her laugh made him laugh as well. Soon enough, they were both laughing and anxious messes.

Alya backed away from the crack in the door. Her eyes were wide and her phone nearly fell from her hand as she clicked the pause button.
