Aftermath of a war - Just getting started
This is a very very short story about someone who was walking through the aftermath of a war
The stone-cold rubble crumbled with one kick from my exhausted feet. It reminded me of how the bombs would do the same with one touch of the ground. As the debris cracked, its sound screeched showing me how little things would trigger the memories that everyone wanted to erase. I watched as the aftermath folded open to my naive eyes. Everything, was taken away... My mum, dad, and sister were now gone, and it was all replaying back to me. The taste of smoke, the smell of fire, and lastly, the sound of the people's screams. I truly believed that it wasn't going to happen again. Yet little did I know, the war wasn't over yet....
It was just getting started.
