Max's pov:
Me and Em walk to the cafeteria,as we walk in I hear somone say "hey look,its ms.nerd",I instantly get angry but as I start to walk to the person who insulted Emily,my bestfriend,I feel a pair of hands on my arm as I turn around I see Emily's hand on my arm "Max,its okay just ignore it" Emily said "But Em,he just insulted you and I dont like that,I dont want people hurting you and making fun of you..."I replied,"okay we will walk to him and talk to him,alright?"Emily said so I wouldnt worry "alright",me and em walk to the guy who insulted her turns out it was one of my friends in the field,Sam,"hey max,hey dweeb," Sam says "Sam,what is your problem man,Emily hasnt done anything to you!?"I blurt out angrily,"Well I'll tell you my problem she is a L.O.S.E.R!why are you even hanging out with her,she's a N.E.RD!"Sam replied angrily","yeah,she may be a nerd but shes still my bestfriend,and maybe your insulting her because you arent as smart as her,your only good in the field,you only got brawn,dont have the brains,so tell me whose the real loser now?" I replied,"come on em,lets get out of here"I said to emily,I cant believe that guy,what is his problem with people who are smart and love reading books,as we walk out I realize that Em hadnt been talking so i asked her "hey,you alright?youve been silent for a while.." as I looked at her I realized she was crying "hey,dont cry,dont think about what sam said,its not true..."I said trying to comfort her,"what are you even talking about everything he said was true!why are you even hanging out with a loser like me!?"Emily said while crying "Em,what are you talking about,you are amazing,your the smartest person I know,and dont listen to what other people say your amazing"I said comfting her and giving her a hug.
