Broken hearts (Asgore x Toriel)

Chapter 2

Toriel Rushed through Snowdin like a tiger chasing a deer. She didn't stop for any breaths or breaks, just taking constant breaths on the run. "I'm a-almost at the b-boatman!" she exclaimed. After running through a path at the north side of Snowdin, she saw the hooded boatman. "Take me away to hotlands!" she said excitedly. The boatman relied with his famous "Tra la la!" and ventured to the heated and unforgiving Hotlands.

Despite never being to the Hotlands in years, she called Alphys for help. "H-hello! Dr. A-Alphys speaking!" "Alphys, I need your help navigating through the Hotlands, I don't remember this place." There was a slight pause before Alphys said in shock, "oh my god, Toriel?!, I haven't seen you in years! O-of course I c-can help! j-just turn left and you should s-see my lab." Toriel then advanced to the lab of the wonderful Dr. Alphys. "Oh h-hello Toriel! I see you f-found my lab!" Toriel cutting straight to the point instead of having sweet talk with Alphys. "I need the fastest route to A-Asgore." She hesentaited on the last word. "T-thank god! It was about time you guys worked out your differences, follow me!" Alphys led her to an exclusive elevator that led to the palace. "T-that's it! You should be able to Asgore's house from here." "Thank you and goodbye Alphys!" Alphys waved to Toriel and took the elevator back down.

Toriel wandered through the grey and worn out looking palace, every step she took, more memory came back to her. Toriel was able to see some citizens waving to her or hear them cheering. She saw Asgore's house up ahead, she remembered how similar their houses were on the outside and inside.

Alas, she had arrived. Her chance to make herself happy again was a cenemetre away. She hesitantly knocked on the door and waited. "The door is unlocked, come in!" Asgore said in is jolly tone. Toriel took a deep breath and opened the door. Asgore saw his ex wife walk into the shelter. "Oh my, w-what a nice s-suprise Tori...el!" Asgore realizing he called his ex by her old nickname. "Tori..? I haven't been called that in years.." everything was silent. "I brought some pie for you Asgore, I feel bad for leaving you and ignoring you. Asgore happily accepting the delicious treat and heating it up. "thank you Toriel, I have missed you since you left me..." Asgore said letting sadness sneezing into his voice. Toriel silenced Asgore by putting her hand on his mouth. "Shhhhh... I wish not to talk about this any longer." The two goats kept each other company while Asgore ate his pie.

*1 hour later*

"I have to go see Frisk, she might get worried if I stay too long." She said shocked at the time on her watch. "Boy! time sure does fly when you are having fun!" Asgore happily stated. "Thanks for the visit Tori, I really enjoyed your company again..." "Oh it was my pleasure Asgore! and I would love to do it again!" she said excitedly.Toriel walked out the door with a bright smile on her face, as she waved to Asgore before vanishing out of sight.

Asgore skipped to his room with a long list of thing to write Down in his journal. He went to bed moments later and slept well...
