bari sipped on his drink as he watched everyone interact with each other. he didn't feel like talking to anyone honestly. he was waiting for eva, and he wasn't just in the mood to deal with any superficial bullshit. he loved spending time with eva, he had to admit. she was always fun to be around. and from what it seemed like, she wasn't hanging out with him because of his connections. everything about her was contagious, her smile, her laugh. literally everything.
he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. eva's contact id popped up on his screen. he smiled to himself before he hit the green answer button.
"hey we're outside," eva said on the other line.
"alright, i'm coming." he hung up the phone.
he headed to the front door and opened it for the girls. he said hi to both naomi and vanessa, giving them hugs. editor giving eva his undivided attention. he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and kissed her on the cheek.
"bari," she giggled.
"i missed you baby girl." he said softly in her ear before turning to the other two. "everyone's outside. i'll show you guys the way."
bari intertwined his fingers with eva's as the four headed outside. there were groups of people all around their backyard. the grill was being tended by one of their friends, jaxon. kalin and some other lightskin were shooting around a basketball, laughing and talking trash to one another. soon they finished up and headed to bari and the girls.
"you owe me a shot," the taller one laughed.
"i'll take it, don't worry." kalin chuckled.
"for a guy whose all talk, you kinda suck k." nessa smirked.
"shut up," kalin rolled his eyes. "oh yeah, this is my older brother jourdan."
naomi shook the older guy's hand and introduced herself. she turned to vanessa who looked like she was ready to pounce on the dude.
"i'm vanessa." she held her hand out, sending him a flirtatious smirk and biting her lip after.
naomi and eva stifled their laughter as they watched their best friend flirt with him.
"jourdan," he smiled back her.
kalin shot naomi a confused look as the two were pretty much eye fucking each other.
"lets go take some shots," vanessa suggested.
"i'm down," jourdan nodded his head. "c'mon lil bro."
the four followed vanessa and jourdan towards the alcohol. kalin turned to naomi who was walking beside him.
"i thought nessa was a lesbian?" kalin asked in a whisper tone.
naomi looked at kalin and just laughed. "she tells everyone that."
"damn, i'm hurt." kalin playfully clutched his chest. "but it's okay, i'm gonna fuck her best friend tonight."
kalin licked his lips as he eyed naomi up and down. she turned to kalin and punched him in the arm.
"chill, chill." kalin chuckled as he rubbed his arm. "i'm just kidding nai."
