I had a wonderful time taking your interview.
1. Your real name.
My real name is Chisom (native) and Jordan (English). I can't give out my last name. Saint Caliendo is a pen name I use to write online.
2. A little about yourself.
I'm a big fan of music, anime, and web toons. I'm also art inclined and I love to paint, do batik, tie dye and print works. I'm a lover of animals (especially chickens!), and I enjoy reading psychological dramas.
3. How long have you been on Wattpad and how has Wattpad changed your life?
I've been on Wattpad for almost three years. (Three years by August.)
Before I joined Wattpad, I used to narrate stories to people. (We'd sit in circles of five to fifteen.) And I'd narrate bit by bit until I was done. (It usually took a week plus.) It was something I picked up from a teacher as I was growing up. She always used to narrate the most interesting stories she made on the spot.
I used to handwrite my stories as well, but I ever only completed two short stories and abandoned drafts of extensive projects.
I joined Wattpad I was just a reader. I read on here for a while before I decided to post my own stories. During that time I was going to have external English and literature exams. English was never my strong point. The English we speak in my country is flawed by vernacular that it's hard for people here to pass external English exams. On Wattpad I had to use proper English to speak to people and write my stories and eventually Wattpad became a place for me to practice English.
I wrote the exams and became the only one who achieved an A in my institute.
4. What inspired you to write book?
I'm a compulsive person. I like it when my hands are busy, or when I have something extensive to think about, organise or manage. Writing/creating stories has provided me with an outlet to satisfy that urge to be busy.
5. Any plans to write a new book.
Yes! I have multiple outlines, drafts, and story boards that I'm presently working on to create new stories.
6. Have you ever been bashed for any book?
Yes, but I've come to understand that I cannot please everyone, but I'm grateful for the fact that I have so many supportive people to make the once in a blue moon opinion insignificant.
7. A personality that has inspired you.
I've always been a fan of the works of Sidney Sheldon and David Leavitt. I love their writing style and I believe I've picked up that direct and blunt approach to prose.
8. What should a good book have?
A good book should be able to tell a story effectively. It would be able to convey realistic characters as well as evoke emotions in the reader.
9. Your favourite book on Wattpad.
My favourite book on Wattpad is probably Volatile by Avylinn . It's extremely well written, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves to trans angsty romance. She'll also be releasing her second published book, so give that a look!
10. Your favourite writer on Wattpad.
My favourite writer on Wattpad is probably SneezingTurtle . I've read most of her books and I really enjoy her writing style!
11. Your favourite movie.
I barely watch movies so I don't have a favourite per say, but I remember watching 'We are who we are' (a movie about cannibalism) and enjoying it.
12. Your favourite actor and actress.
Honestly, I don't know who's who in the acting world so I don't have a favourite actor or actress.
13. Your theory of life.
My theory in life is to constantly improve on the good qualities that make you unique. Be yourself- everyone else is taken.
14. What does love mean to you?
I believe love is the same thing as having compassion and care.
15. Single/Relationship
I'm single. (I'm your typical ace/aromatic pringle.)
16. Two words to describe your fans/readers.
Sweet and appreciative.
17. One word to describe yourself.
I can be very passive aggressive.
18. Anything to convey to your readers.
I appreciate every single one of you. You're a huge chunk of my motivation. I won't have completed any of my stories without you!
