Emily wants to understand Harry; the new next door neighbor who never leaves the house and is trapped there for an unknown reason. Her photographic memory won't seem to wrap around Harry's mind like it does to everyone else around her. Emily's mind is dark, malicious, filled with sinful things she doesn't quite understand but Harry does. Harry can relate. He understands the murderous thoughts, the empty feelings, and the loss of sympathy for everyone around him. Emily just wants to know more, she wants to know what she's going to do with her life as a child prodigy with wrong ideas for humanity. Emily just wants to know why Harry has the black tracking monitor strapped to his ankle like an uncomplimentary piece of jewelry and why he seems to hide everything about him, in his own dark way.
