This is the day that Irene Jonson has been waiting for her whole life. With her beautiful snowflake white hair, blue eyes that resemble the ocean, smooth amber radiant skin, with the demeanor of an angel. Today was the first day of her last year at her school. She kissed her parents, hugged her little sister, Emi and walked out the door. She waved goodbye and drove off. After two hours of driving, she made it to North High School.
Irene came out of the parking lot and the first thing she sees is her best friend, Maria Francisco. Maria has long scarlet red hair that shines in the sunlight, tanned skin from the sun's heat, green eyes, and a rebellious personality.
"Hey Maria," screamed Irene. Yet, Maria didn't say anything. Irene walked closer to see what was up with Maria. "Maria, are you listening to me?" Irene was a breath away from Maria. Irene continually tapped her shoulder vigorously waiting for Maria's reaction. Maria quickly turned around, fist ready to punch someone's face off.
"I swear to God, if you keep it up I will..." stated Maria slowly realizing who she was talking to. "Sorry about that, I didn't realize it was you I was listening to music. I couldn't hear anyone."
"I understand, but you shouldn't be so hostile around people," admitted Irene. The best friend hugged it out and laughed.
It's okay Maria, I understand," grinned Irene. They hugged and laughed.
"It's so good to see you," said Maria, "I missed my conscious telling me good from bad, what to do what not to do."
"I missed you so much, too!" exclaimed Irene, "I missed my bad influence, making sure I don't always have to focus my life on school and making sure I have fun." The two of them laughed getting back to the old system of school.
They started to talk about their summers. Maria went to an art museum in France. She thought it was pretty boring until she saw a little dog launch a plan to destroy the artwork. The first one demolish was The Raft of Medusa, a gorgeous work of art by Theodore. The next painting to be removed was The Starry Night, a blue masterpiece by Vincent van Gogh. Last, but definitely not least the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci was the last one to be torn down. After the obliteration the dog jumped into Maris's arm. It was a husky puppy; its fur was black and white, soft like velvet and shiny like snow falling in the dark night. It reminded her of the birth mark she has that looks like a wolf. After that moment her family and Maria were kick out of the museum because the people there thought it was their dog and not allowed to come back. Luckily, they explained the situation and was not charged for any of the damages. Hence, after that she never saw that dog again.
Irene got a job at an animal shelter in California. She had fun with all the different animals: bunnies, cats, dogs, fishes, and birds. One Saturday morning, Irene found the place in a complete mess. Every single animal was barking, meowing, or making some other noises and going out of control, except for this brown eagle in the corner of the store. It resembled the birthmark Irene had on her shoulder. The bird opened its cage, grabbed a broom with his beak and started to sweep the floor. Irene was in shock of what the bird was doing. She grabbed some cleaning product and began to clean the windows. When the owner came back, the place was polished, the animals feed and Irene standing in front of her with the brown eagle on her shoulder.
After minutes of talking, Irene and Maria walked to the table filled with teachers to get their classes for this year. First, was Irene; advanced calculus, advanced Spanish, advanced physics, animal studies, advanced literature and research. Next was Maria, she was stunned because of what was written on the piece of paper.
"I think you made the wrong mistake" claimed Maria handing back the paper so they can correct their mistake.
"No mistake here, this is your classes for this year," affirmed the teacher.Maria couldn't believe what was happening to her right then and there. Her palms started to sweat, knees were shaking and she stutters in her speech. Irene turned around and found her friend in distress.
"Hey what's up with you?" worried Irene, she had never saw Maria like this before. Usually, she hides her feelings, but a waterfall of emotion was falling off Maria.
"Someone changed my schedule," said Maria, " it's exactly like yours, except for animal studies, I have advanced art. I can't believe my own mother would do some like this. I mean why she would do that behind my back like that!" Maria went in a fit of rage. She took her phone out, dialed her mother, and forcefully tapped her feet on the concrete floor.
"Hey mom, we need to talk" calmly said Maria
"What about my precious daughter?" asked Maria's mom.
"Well I got my class in my hands right now and..."
"What?!?! Well what does it says? How do you feel? Where are your classes? Do you know anybody in your classes? And..."
"Mom stop it!" screamed Maria. A moment of silence was between the two phones
"Mom," sighed Maria, "I'm sorry for yelling, it's just that I didn't like that you changed my classes without my permission. I thought that we were fine with what we agreed."
"Well, honey, I just wanted the best for my little girl, my only girl. You are about to leave me and I just can't bear to see you..." The sound of tears from the mother's heart muffled the sound through the phone.
"Mom, I'm sorry. I didn't know that you feel this way. You know what, I'm happy you changed my classes."
"Are you sure? You're not just saying that, are you?"
"No, I'm really glad that you changed it. Also, I have all of my classes with Irene."
"Of course you do because I copied it of hers."
"I knew it couldn't be a coincidence, well I have to go, bye-bye."
"Good bye and have a great day at school."
On the end of that note, Maria hung up the phone and glance up to see Irene's worried face.
"So what happened between you and your mother," concerning Irene, "did something go wrong with your mom"
"No everything is fine, come on we have to go to Advanced Calculus." They interlocked arms and walked to their first period class.
