"Hey Nash, is mom sti..." The boy asked while coming down the stairs. He had brown hair in some sort of short "quiff". He had bright blue eyes, just like Nash. I guess it runs in the family. He wore a black NBA sweatshirt with camo joggers. "Uhh, who is this Sky?"

"This is our new babysitter." Sky giggled while Nash tickled her.

"Cool. Hey, i'm Hayes." The boy who referred as Hayes said. Beautiful name for a beautiful boy. He came over to me to shake my hand. We shook hands for a long time. It felt like he never wanted to let go.

"Amelia, but you can call me Millie." I told him.

He nodded his head and smiled. "Beautiful name." I blushed and quickly walked over to the kitchen to make some treats. I went over to where their cookbooks where and looked for a dessert cookbook. Hayes walked over to me and pointed at this one dessert.

"You should make these." Hayes pointed to a recipe for homemade apple pie bars. I guess I can give it a try.

"Uhh, sure. Can you help?" I asked him. He nodded and went over to the kitchen to get the ingredients.

...

"Here are homemade apple pie bars." I sighed while putting all the bars on the plate to display. Hayes and I grabbed one and took a bite.

"Wow." Hayes exclaimed. "You make them way better than mom does."

"Thanks." I smiled at him. After I finished the bars, I went into the living room to watch something on netflix. "Hayes, got any recommendations?" He soon walked into the living room with the plate of bars and sat down quite close to me.

"Um, want to watch Stranger Things?" He suggested. I nodded and scrolled through Netflix until I found Stranger Things. I found a blanket, told Sky to sit next to me, and watched Stranger Things while I ate my delicious apple pie bars.

...

After a while, I saw that Sky was asleep, and so was Hayes. I picked up Sky and took her up into her room. I layed her down and put the covers over her. I took out my phone from my pocket to look at the time. 11:32. I walked down the stairs to find Hayes in the kitchen.

"Oh, hello." I whispered. He looked up at me and slightly chuckled.

"You won't wake her up, or anyone else. They're heavy sleepers." I sighed in relief.  I grabbed a cup from one of the cabinets and poured myself some water. I sat down on the step stools and drank some water.

"So," Hayes trailed off. "What's up" He looked a bit nervous as he took a bite of an green apple.

"Um, nothing really. Just really focused on school. This babysitting job doesn't help at all. I should be studying right now." I sighed.

"Oh. Sorry. I would've babysat Sky but mom doesn't trust me."

"Yeah, who wouldn't." I mumbled. He chucked as a sign of him hearing me. "Well, your mom should be here any minute n.."

Suddenly, the front door opened and Elizabeth stepped into the house.

"Hello Amelia! How was Sky?" She asked as she put her purse down on the bench in the entry way.

"She was great!" I told her. "She slept through most of the night though."

"Good. We just got back from a trip to California so she needed the sleep." I nodded and smiled.

"Well, I should get going. Thanks for having me!" She gave me a check and gave me a quick hug. As I was walking out the door, someone reached out their hand and put it on my shoulder. I turned around to find Hayes standing behind me.

"Hey, can I have your number so we can hang out sometime?" He said out of breath. I took out my phone so he could put his number in.

"Thanks. See you around, Millie." He winked and soon closed the door after I walked out. Great ending to a good night.
