One single moment can change a person
It can make them the happiest they can be
Or make them hurt to the point of no return
The moment when you get into the school you have been reaching for
since you were a child
The moment your phone rings and a shaky voice is on the other end
These moments change you for better or worse
People say it depends on how you handle it
Like when someone you love says they are leaving
Some would say you can look at the happy moments you had
and grow from the them
But it is never that simple
In the seconds it takes your brain to process the situation
The moment will have passed and you will be changed
Moments can take away a child's innocence
Or make your world crumble
More often then not these moments are caused by the ones around you
Wether it be a family member, a friend, or a stranger on the bus
Humans are most likely the cause of you joyful and sorrowful moments
The boy who got beat up by his classmates for being to small
The girl who's mom ran away
The old woman who realized she was seeing her children for the last time
Their lives changed because of a single moment
All my life they told me that moments do not define me
But now that I have had my own moments
I know that they were even more naive then I
All it took was one moment for my entire world to change,
To crumble and fall making me long for the darkness
I am not the only one
Every person living or dead had moments that defined them
We all wish to experience happy moments and be defined by those
However a happy moment is fleeting,
And a painful moment can turn your life to hell
It only takes a single moment for a persons entire state of mind to change
