"Have a good day at school Jayson!" I heard my dad call down the stairs. It was my a new day at a new school. Mum said we'd moved from our last place to get a better life, without the pain of living in the city. I took one last look in the mirror and walked out the door. Here's a summary of my life so far. My name is Jayson and I'm 15. I'm a quite, intelligent kid, but once you get to know me people say I'm a laugh. I like Marvel and computers and girls... Obviously. Anyway, enough about me and on with the story...
After a ten minute walk I arrived at my new school. It was a small building with the words "Montgomery Academy : Strive to Succeed" above the door. Inside the halls were painted blue, with a red stripe in the middle. I saw a few kids by some lockers but everywhere else was empty. As I approached the kids I noticed one girl in particular. She was short, around 5ft 4 with dirty blond hair and sea blue eyes. I asked the kids where my class was, said thanks and left, wondering whether I should have spoke to the girl.
Once I arrived at my class I said hi to the teacher and sat down, waiting for instructions. I was given a blue book and told to write my name on it. Looking around the classroom I noticed a couple of the kids from by the lockers, but not the girl. After a while the teacher, a small Asian lady, came over to me and introduced herself as Miss Wen, and told me what I had missed so far and what I needed to catch up on. She explained how I'd joined at the 'perfect' time as we were just starting and "exciting new topic to do with the Battle of Britain" and how it made the class even for when she put us into partners. Not long after that the bell went and we all left for break.
