It was the day everyone had been waiting for, the last day of school for 6 weeks. Spirits were high, teachers who hadn't cracked a smile all year were letting kids play on their phone's and everyone was happy. Once I'd met up with the 'crew' we all went to our final lessons this year together. As we were allowed to choose our seats Emily chose to sit next to me.
"Jayson?" She asked me "How come you keep looking at me like that? You don't fancy me do you?" She said jokingly.
Laughingly I replied "yeah totally...marry me?"
"Any day" she responded, both of us laughing.
After school we all went back to my place. I put some music on and everyone went into the garden, happy to be in the sun. For dinner we had a bbq with ice cream for desert. Mum had gone away for the weekend with dad meaning I could have friends stay round as well.
When it started to get cold we all went inside and put a film on. Jack chose a film called that awkward moment, a film about about a guy who falls in love, all that sort of crap. After a while we all started to get tired so Luke went home, leaving Jack, Freya, Emily and myself. Emily rested her head on my shoulder and smiled at me, for a change I was actually happy. A few hours later everyone but me was asleep. I looked over to my shoulder and saw Emily asleep next to me. I needed a drink but the moment was too perfect to spoil it, I felt something different,I'd never felt this way before...About anyone.
*The next day*
It was only 6am when I woke up again, Emily still asleep on my shoulder. "Heyy" I said, "did you sleep well?" I asked
"Yeah" she laughed, "your shoulder is comfy".
After we made breakfast Jack and Freya went home, leaving just me and Emily for the day. We got changed and then made a picnic, planning to have lunch on the beach. Once we got there we set up our picnic and had a nice lunch by the sea. We spent some time just chilling then we went for a paddle in the sea.
When we got back we ordered pizza for dinner and watched another movie, before curling up next to each other and falling asleep.
