Amu Hinamori's life (on hold 2k19)

Escape plan

When we make it to the top Ikuto pulls me up through the elevator doors as he holds them open. Once we're through I release my breath. "Thank goodness!" I stay crouched on the ground as Ikuto sits back and pants. "Are you alright?" I ask. It must of been a lot of work to climb up here with me clinging to me.

He opens his eyes. "I'm fine." He stands up and grabs me. "Come on we have to get out of the building and to the safe house. It's where we're suppose to meet up in case of this kind of situation." He explains. Oh... they were prepared for this kind of situation then?? We start walking once more, trying to find the right stair case that will lead us to the exit.

That's when the building starts shaking. "Ikuto what's going on?!" I shout over the loudness of the crumbling building. He runs over to me, grabbing me and pulling me out of the way. We fall to the ground and something sharp and searing overtakes my leg. It really hurts. The shaking only intensifies. Another wave of shaking and then a loud boom.

The rest is black. A loud shrill ringing dominates my sanity and forces me to open my eyes. I look around. I'm laying somewhere but I can't tell where. My head is hurting, pounding like a hammer against a brick wall. I sit up, grabbing my head. I look around. Everything is just completely ruined. I close my eyes, groaning at the pain I felt.

My whole body was aching. Wait! Ikuto! I open my eyes and frantically search for him. Where did he go?! I need to find Ikuto! I can't leave him behind nor can I lose him! He means so much to me. My ringing in my ears slowly begins to die down and I'm left with the sound of coughing, that's when I locate Ikuto. Oh thank god!!

"Wha-what was that?!" I exclaim. Ikuto crawls over to me. "Damn... Kei must of planted bombs." My eyes widen and
I stiffen up, looking terrified. Bombs!! Bombs?! Kei planted bombs?!!! "Hey, hey look, it's going to be alright. I won't let anything happen to you." Ikuto says, grabbing my head and looking deeply into my eyes.

Why would he say such a thing if I am useless? He has no reason to keep me alive. All he needs is to catch Kei. That's all. He has his evidence of Kei's crimes so all he needs is capture him. So I am useless. But then why is he still protecting me? Ikuto... what are your true feelings? I've already told you that I love you but... what do you feel for me?

"Alright.... Are you alright? We have to keep moving. Come on." He stands up and gives me his hand. I take it and go to pull myself up when a huge pain sweeps over me. "Gah!" I fall back to the ground, instantly grabbing my leg. I look and see a piece of glass lodged into my lower thigh. "Hah!!" I cry out as I squeeze my leg, trying desperately to relive the searing pain and stop the gushing blood.

"Wh-what do we- gah!!!" I cringe as more piercing pain shoots through my leg. "I-Ikuto?!" I look up at him, horrified. What's going to happen?! "Shit!" He bends back down and gently grabs my leg, laying it on his own legs. "Ah!" He looked at it, gently touching my thigh.

"Amu... I won't lie. It's not good. I'm going to have to remove the glass shard." My eyes widen. "Um..." damn... he has to do it though... "O-okay just do it really fast! Okay?!" He nods and places on hand firmly on my thigh, directly above the glass shard. Next he takes his other hand and grabs the glass piece.

My hands fly up to his shoulders, trying to brace myself for the imminent pain. Next thing I know this incredible, blinding, hot pain is pulsing through my leg. Blood is squirting and oozing out. "AHHHH!" I scream out. The pain becomes too much and I fall backwards, slamming back against the hard tiled floor. "Amu?!" Ikuto is taking off his jacket, ripping the sleeve, and tying it around my gushing cut.

I lay there, completely exhausted. "Damn the fucking hurt!" I mutter. I close my eyes, trying to regulate my breathing. If I continue on with Ikuto I'll only slow him down and end up giving him a death sentence just like mine. "I-Ikuto..." I whisper hoarsely. He looks up, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

That's when I notice the small fires around us from the bomb. Damn... "p-please... y-you... you have to go on without me!" I stress to him. He shakes his head. "No! I definitely won't leave you Amu! I can't and I won't! You will live! I promise that!" Years weld up in my eyes. "But... I'll only slow you down!" I start to cry. He frowns and wipes the tears from my eyes.

"Nonsense. I'm the best agent in this agency. I will make sure we both get out of this building in one piece. Understand? I will not let you die here. I refuse to let it happen! Amu... I love you." His words stop my heart. He... HE LOVES ME?!

He loves me back?! He truly feels the same?! "B-but-!!"'he sighs, cupping my cheek with his gentle hand. "I know... I said all that horrible stuff but originally you were simply a mission. I needed information that you had and the only way to access it was to gain your interest and get close to you."

He dropped away his hand and looked down at the ground. "It was only suppose to be Tadase doing the mission but he wasn't going fast enough o they sent me. I read all of your files. I knew things about you that you hadn't even told me yet... I'm sorry but it's part of my job... but it all started to change. I got emotionally attached to you... which is strictly forbidden."

He looked back at me. "I'm sorry for what I've done to you Amu. And I know it's too late to ask for such forgiveness but I... I really do love you. Nothing will change that. So please. Please don't die. I won't let you. It won't happen while your my mission. You understand?" I wiped away more tears and nodded, smiling.

"I love you Ikuto!" I confess once more, this time however I am not rejected. I am greeted with open arms, so warm and loving I almost forget we are in an ticking time bomb of a building. My life will never be normal so long as I stay with Ikuto like this but I'm not looking for normal. "Ikuto, lets get going." I state. He pulls away and smirks. "Roger that, Miss Hinamori."
